The unexpected decision by the Chennai Super Kings Cricket Team to sack actress Nayantara from the post of their Ambassador has upset her fans and the actress too is not happy about the decision. But according to her manager she is yet to receive a written confirmation of the news. Nayantara has expressed her willingness to set right the issue through negotiable talks.
The contract with Chennai Super Kings Cricket Team states that she has to make an appearance at the star launch and team launch functions, interviews and talk shows and promotional videos, but there is no compulsion about the star’s presence in all the matches. There is no valid reason for this termination, she emphasized. She doubted that some of the organizers wanted her out.
Recently the team management said in a press release that they had terminated Nayantara’s contract because she was unable to meet her commitments of regular match appearances as a brand ambassador, due to her tight schedule. They further decided to go with a single star ambassador, Ilayathalapathy Vijay, who will continue to participate in all ground promotions and match appearances.
At present, Nayantara is simultaneously doing four movies in Kollywood, Mollywood and Tollywood - Sathyam and Kuselan in both Tamil and Telugu, Aegan with Ajith and the Malayalam movie Twenty: 20.
