Veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah has urged women victims of the recent pub attack in Mangalore to be courageous and protest against it. Shah was talking to reporters here on Tuesday that women must come out and speak and should actually consider the larger issue.

"It will be a problem for them, but I think they should consider the larger issue. I don’t think they’ll face anything worse than what they have already faced. It is very easy for me to say that they should come up and speak. But I really think that they should be courageous enough to take this step," he said. Meanwhile, Nirmala Venkatesh, Member of the National Commission for Women, met Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and asked him to set up a Women’s Commission for the State as soon as possible.
