Rani Mukherjee, the flop queen because she say Yes Raj to Yash Raj

There was a time when the voluptuous Rani Mukherjee or Rani Mukerjee(call it numerology effect!) used to rule the box office with fantastic movies like Hum Tum and Black. Just as when she was going to be the number one, comparable with a Madhuri Dixit or a Sridevi, her downslide began. Rani Mukherjee began to work only for her boyfriend Aditya Chopra and began to sign some stupid, baseless movies. As a result, she started giving flops one after the other like Baabul, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Laga Chunari Mein Daag, Saawariya and Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic.

Rani's association with Yash Raj films led to her downfall. Rani is also reportedly angry that her roles are not publicized well. For instance, Rani was not publicized as well as Amisha Patel in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic.

As of now the verdict is clear, Rani Mukherjee's position is slipping down. Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have flew past Rani as popular heroines. It is also a fact that most producers are hesitating to sign Rani Mukherjee because of her association with Yash Raj films. According to critic Amod Mehra,Yash Raj films have given Rani Mukherjee a bhenji image(call it Aditya Chopra's love that he does not want Rani to be seen as a sex symbol) which means her popularity is fast waning. Rani Mukherjee is the only actress apart from Sonali Bendre who has worked with all the Khans-Saif, Salman, Aamir and Shahrukh. Now it is up to them to rescue the 30 year old actress, Rani Mukherjee.
