US based magazine 'Newsweek' named world's 50 most powerful people or this year. Apparently, US President Barak Obama tops the list. Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, is ranked at 17^th position and 'King of Bollywood', Shah Rukh Khan holds 41^st rank. About Sonia Gandhi, Newsweek wrote, 'Although Indian political scene is riven by factions, Congress remains the strongest national force, and the Italian-born widow of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi rules it unchallenged. In the world's largest democracy, she's queen.'

But the inclusion of Shah Rukh Khan in the list came as a surprise. Hollywood fans would have expected Will Smith or Brad Pitt to be there. About the 'King Khan' of Bollywood , Newsweek states, it's not just that his romantic flicks make gazillions—it's where those gazillions come from. Khan have a big fan following among muslims all over the world, especially in countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan.
