This December, Akshay Kumar joins the list of stars like Shah Rukh Khan (Hum Hain Lajawaab), and Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor (Roadside Romeo), who lent their voices to animated movies.
Jumbo, the cute elephant, seems to be Akshay’s gift to kids this Christmas.
The protagonist Jumbo is a baby elephant, who is always curious to know about his father, as he is never around.
The actor is so involved with the film that he has roped in everyone close to him. His mother-in-law Dimple Kapadia gives her voice to Jumbo’s mother.
Akshay has dedicated the film to his six year old son Aarav
Lara Dutta, Rajpal Yadav and Gulshan Grover are the other actors, who have lent their voice to the film. They play Jumbo’s girlfriend Sonia, friend Dildaar and the villain respectively.
Jumbo is inspired from a Thai film called Khan Kluay. The producers Percept Pictures have added an Indian touch by adding about 60 scenes, and a love track.
Jumbo will release on December 25, along with Aamir Khan’s Ghajini.
