Salman was invited to be part of a special rally organized by Congress leader

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is set to perform live on stage to raise funds for the people of Bihar who are hit by the flood caused by Kosi river.

Salman was invited to be part of a special rally organized by Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam for Bihar Flood Relief Fund in Mumbai on Sunday but the actor could not attend it because he had to shoot for a movie.

However, to make up for his absence, the large-hearted Khan has offered to perform at a live convert to raise the relief money. The star is said to be already in talks with Nirupam for a possible concert at Andheri Sports Complex in the coming days. All the proceeds from the concert will be used to help people affected by floods in Bihar.

On another front, acclaimed filmmaker Prakash Jha has taken the lead and started a Punarvaas (Rehabilitation) programme for the displaced people of Bihar. Jha, already in Bihar, is in the process of setting up a camp for as many as 5000 displaced people.

Jha, who is saddened by the devastation in Bihar, says his initiative would not have been possible without generous financial help from his Bollywood friends and colleagues including Ajay Devgan , Nana Patekar , Manmohan Shetty , Manoj Bajpai and Shekhar Suman .
