Mahesh Babu is the son of Tollywood Super Star Krishna.
Mahesh Babu after finishing his B.Com from the famous Loyola College in Chennai, He made a debut as hero with the film Rajakumarudu with priety Zinta which was a big hit. A series of hits soon made Mahesh Babu the heart-throb of Tollywood.
Mahesh's performance was applauded by even Ram Gopal Varma and Amitabh Bachchan.

The pokiri film was premiered at the 2006 International Indian Film Academy Awards, along with Tollywood super-hit Tagore. This film created many records and is currently the highest grossing film in the Telugu Film Industry.
In the US, the pokiri film grossed $200,000 USD in the first two weeks , and grossed $350,000 by June 2006. Pokiri grossed a total amount of about $500,000 at the US box office.
Pokiri was one of the highest grossers in the Indian film industry for 2006.
This is the first Telugu film to ever cross the 40-crore mark. Mahesh Babu's sister Manjula co-produced this film .The last stunt sequence in the climax was shot for about 10 days.
