Kangana plays Madhubalan role

A film, which deals with the underworld, Kangana plays a woman, a cross between yesteryear actress Madhubala and the wife of former Mumbai don Haji Mastan.
Haji Mastan was a great fan of Madhubala and he married Sona, a woman who looked very similar to her. In the film, Kanganan plays Rehana, a superstar of Bollywood with a great fan following, who falls in love with a don. She says her character incorporates traits of the bold beauties of the ’70s such as Zeenat Aman and Parveen Babi also.

The film, set in the Mumbai of the ’70s, is directed by Milan Luthria. The story of the film is about the rise of Sultan (Ajay Devgn) as the underworld king of Mumbai and how he is challenged by his protégé Shoaib (Emraan Hashmi).
