John Abraham wants to make the right move

Karan Johar is set to make a desi version of version Chris Columbus’ ‘Stepmom’. It has been reported that the two ladies’ roles will be played by Kajol and Kareena. With these two power packed actresses around, John Abraham, who was approached for the male lead, turned the offer down, as he thought there wouldn’t be much for him to do.

John strongly felt that the beautiful ladies will steal the show, and as we know, their roles demand attention, if it is based more or less on the English movie. John, we guess is at a stage where he wouldn’t want to make a wrong move or get into an apparently insignificant character. Moreover, he is not the first choice for this role. He was approached for the same after Saif disagreed to take it up.
“Karan had almost convinced John to do the role. He even promised that the husband’s role in the Indian ‘Stepmom’ would be far more substantial than what Ed Harris did in the original. But John is at a stage in his career where he wants to make all the right career moves. He feels as an outsider in the industry he has made a place that must be respected.” Said one of the sources.
