RAJESH KHATTAR the man who played the role of a senior don (and an arch rival of Shah Rukh Khan and Boman Irani) in DON - THE CHASE BEGINS AGAIN. Wait, that’s not all. He was also an integral part of recently released ANGELS & DEMONS. And the PIRATES series. And MATRIX REVOLUTIONS. And many more Hollywood flicks. Well, he is Rajesh Khattar, the man who has made actors of the likes of Tom Hanks, Johhny Depp, Hugh Jackman, The Rock, Nicolas Cage, Lambert Wilson and many more talk in Hindi. As a veteran voice artist, he has dubbed for these Hollywood celebrities in Hindi.

’’It seems like ages since I began dubbing for Hollywood celebrities’’, says Rajesh Khattar who has been dabbling across various mediums ranging from dubbing in Hollywood films to working in TV serials to writing and acting in plays to of course facing the camera for Bollywood movies (his last release was Fardeen Khan and Kunal Khemu starrer JAI VEERU).

With so much happening in his life and such close exposure to Hollywood (he is the first choice for dubbing by most Hollywood studios who bring their prints for dubbing in Bollywood ), haven’t there been any opportunities for acting in one of their films as well? Doesn’t he long for dubbing for his own self in Hollywood movies than do it for someone else?

’’Of course it does’’, replies Khattar who is in his 40s and boasts of a suave persona, ’’If given an opportunity, I would love to do a Hollywood movie. But then it has to fall into my lap because right now I am too busy trying to find a foothold in our cinema.’’

’’In any case, I have already covered half the distance to Hollywood by doing a British production last year. So who knows I too might get my own SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE soon’’, smiles Khattar before signing off.
