Mandira Bedi is back on television with yet another show

After her recent flop film Meera Bai Not Out, Mandira Bedi is back on television with yet another show and this time not as judge or an anchor but as a contestant on the reality show Arre Deewano Mujhe Pehchano. “I want to be a man since I do not get any such opportunity I really want to play one good nasty man. I hope this wish of mine will get fulfilled through this show,” laughs Mandira.

Talking about her first ever reality show as a contestant she says, “It is really great to be back on television. I have been offered all kinds of reality shows, but I can’t sing and I don’t dance. I have fallen in love with the concept of this show. It is very challenging to be a contestant of the show and to play gags on anyone. We have to consider our capability, our image, the ability to go to whatever extend…uss jigar ko dekh kar we decide the gags. I have performed two gags so far and I want to do much better than this.”

“There was this gag which was given to me where we went to a coffee shop and we played a prank on one boy who is unsuccessful in getting jobs. It was a very difficult gag. I played a waitress in it and I thought that he will recognize me by my eyes. He was continuously looking at my eyes…So that was really difficult gag for me. Then I will not tell you the name of the celebrity but I did perform a gag on a celebrity and I thought that he will surely recognize me but he did not either! It is risky and scary too. But it is not scripted for sure,” she adds.

Mandira is currently seen as a judge on the comedy show Funjabi Chak De with Navjyot Singh Siddhu.
