Namitha is one of the busiest artists in Tamil cinema. She is doing seven films and is one of the biggest glamour girls in showbiz who gets atleast one or two ribbon cutting functions a week!
The latest we hear is that Nami baby has put a complaint with the Nadigar Sangam that she is being harassed by one of her old producers and director Thirunavukarassu. Thiru had signed her up in 2006 and paid her Rs 17 lakhs to do Azhagannu Ponnu and shot with her for a few days, before the project came to a standstill.
Recently whenAzhagannu Ponnu was revived, Namitha readily agreed to do the project. But on location she had a major showdown with the director on the way he was trying to project her on screen. Namitha walked out of the project and since then has been getting threatening calls from him.
Thiru feels she has an attitude problem now that she is a big star. He has filed a counter complaint with the producers’ council. The producers’ council is meeting and both the warring parties have been asked to come for the compromise talk.
