Actress Jyotika is working in a film for the first time after her marriage. It is a short film being made by Suriya’s Agaram Foundation the Education Ministry of Tamil Nadu. This film, being made to create awareness amongst the people who discontinue education, is aimed at bringing down illiteracy.
Suriya, who is actively promoting the importance of education through his Agaram Foundation, was requested by the Tamil Nadu Education Ministry in this regard and he readily agreed. This short film will also feature a lot of stars from Kollywood, including Madhavan, Vijay and others, who are teaming up for this noble cause.
The shooting of this short film took place at Marina Beach recently. It was filmed on Jyotika and a bunch of vivacious kids. After her marriage to Suriya, Jyotika had given up acting. The last film that she did was the hit Mozhi, in which her role as a deaf girl was lauded. She is known to be totally involved with her husband and her new status of motherhood, and seldom makes public appearances. But now, she has come out after a long break for this noble cause.
Every actor and technician involved in this movie is doing their work for free.
