Bollywood flops 2008-Bollywood Box office results, first quarter

There is a close relationship between Bollywood and cricket, and I am not talking about the IPL matches. I am referring to the bad patches. Bollywood has been suffering from a bad patch for the past 4 and a half months. 2008 had a lot of expectations for Bollywood, but save for the super hit Race, every other movie released so far, has flopped miserably. Jodhaa Akbar can hold its head moderately high because it fared well as a semi hit.

Tashan, Krazzy 4, Black and White, U, Me aur Hum, Halla Bol and Bhootnath had a lot of expectations and all of them have disappointed. Here are some of the reasons why such movies turned flops:

Halla Bol: Bad music, some scenes looked fake and long-drawn….(In fact, Halla Bol can be termed as an unfortunate flop, because it was one of the better movies of the year)

Sunday: It was not funny ! We wished there was more of Ayesha Takia around who charmed the audience in the first half.

Black & White: The title kept many viewers out of the theatre. Bad movie, no commercial ingredients kept the youth away. How can you ignore the biggest pie of movie viewing audience-the youth! That’s hara-kiri!

Mitya: Too multiplex type…the masses never understood the movie.

Superstar: Tacky script, poor editing and bad music.

Bombay to Bangkok: Cant believe Nagesh Kukunoor made this half-baked movie with a boring script and wrongly concocted scenes.

Krazzy 4: Dhamaal and Golmaal were quite funnier compared to this one. We are so used to four hero comic capers that we expect nothing but the best. Krazzy 4 had a sad ending.

One Two Three: Nothing can be more vulgar than Paresh Rawal selling lingerie Also, the movie had a bad script and humor that would make one cry.

Bhram: Abusive!!!!! And this is not to say about the words in the movie. Dino talks to his bhabhi about a$$. Shocked? This is just one of the revelations of this putrid movie

U, Me aur Hum: Bad music, nothing new!

Tashan: Too many cooks spoils the broth! Had the right stuff but the substance was never there. Cliched plot, stupid dialogues, and slow first half, long drawn scenes disappointed the viewers.

Bhootnath: Tacky editing, clichéd story line, bad music and that too the one which distracts the plot can be downright nauseating.
