Quick! What is the hottest colour right now? Yup, you guessed it right. It’s gold. Whether a sunny yellow or a burnished gold, this colour is fast catching up with the Bollywood set on and off screen. Here’s a few that caught our eye:

A gold swimsuit

Desginer Manish Malhotra came up with this dazzling one-piece for Priyanka Chopra in last year’s hit Dostana. Though too impractical for swimming, the actress turned quite a few heads when slipped this on. Come to think of it, even her co-star John Abraham wore bright sunny yellow itsy bitsy shorts in the movie.

A lacy sari in gold

After lying low for quite some time, Shilpa Shetty burst into the scene with Bigg Boss 2 last year. A sight for sore eyes indeed when she came on the sets of the reality show in this sheer gold sari which was teamed with a halter neck blouse in a darker shade of gold.

These hot pants are worth their weight in gold!

Exclusive:Sanjay Dutts transformation in film ChaturSingh 2 Star

 

Sanjay Dutt may be away from the glam-sham of B-town, campaigning in the interiors of the north, but back home there’s something apart from his rajniti moves that’s been making news.

And it’s not just his transformation from the on-screen hunk into a khadi-clad politico that people are talking about, but even his on-screen transformation in his forthcoming film ChaturSingh 2 Star . The star seems to have revealed an absolutely different facet of his personality with this one and those who’ve had a dekho, swear that his role will leave many equally surprised.

A far cry from his gun-totting self, the deadly Dutt manages to draw laughs just by his look. And though the makers are tightlipped about the plot of the story, insiders reveal that it’s a comic caper that also stars Ameesha Patel. Whether the female junta will swoon over him in this new avatar or not, he’s sure to win a lot of bachchas’ hearts for sure. Just the breather that wife Manyaata could do with, right Sanju?

Aamir Khan was offered For Madame Tussauds

With the news about Sachin Tendulkar at the Madame Tussauds just a few days old, speculations are rife as to who the next entrant would be. And media as usual is agog with the buzz that it would most probably be the ’Perfectionist’ Khan, Aamir Khan . Even Bobby Khan, who manages the Bollywood section in London, as well as the Indian franchise of the museum (under Bobby Khan Holdings), has gone on record to say that Aamir would indeed be the first choice. However what everyone conveniently forgot was that Aamir had refused to be waxed when the offer was made to him a year or so back.

Well, those with sharp memories and a keen interest in Bollywood affairs would remember that after the unveiling of Shah Rukh Khan’s statue in London, Aamir Khan was offered to be waxed, and he refused. Sources close to Aamir Khan (read relatives) cited personal beliefs (about being made into statue!) as the reason behind the refusal!

However, it remains to be seen whether Aamir would give in to the temptation this time, and especially if his name comes up in a poll /consensus, as Bobby Khan has planned.

May be Aamir would say yes to keep his fans and those who vote for his statue to be waxed happy. But this is hypothetical and it remains to be seen as to how things would unfold. Till that time keep tuned to your favourite portal for more on the subject.

It’s very difficult to find a dedicated actress than Katrina Kaif

The new Barbie Girl Katrina Kaif is riding high on success. This superstar looks glamorous and beautiful. These compliments are falling her way from the onlookers and the Bollywoodwala’s who are keeping a close watch on her every move.

Katrina is making two ends meet with, one being Barbie doll being the most styled and glamorous doll ever present and the other being her d’glam role with “Rajniti”.

Both these are two ends and Katrina is perfectly balancing both these things. Katrina is always know for her glamour and the way she looks. Even tough in Rajniti she didn’t wear a make up her looks were the talk of the town.

Onlookers were saying that if Katrina looks so beautiful without the make up then with make up on she would look like a goddess to die for.

However filmmakers who have worked with her say that she is a thorough professional. All those big Directors who have worked with her have gone ahead signing her for her other projects also.

This itself is a clear indication that Katrina is not only at the top but also indicates that she is a thorough professional, that’s why directors tend to repeat her.

Ramesh Taurani the producer of Tips film adds, “It’s very difficult to find a dedicated actress than Katrina, She exactly knows what is expected from her and her hard work has in turn returned to her with the tag of “Goddess of luck” She was there with us for Race which became a hit and now we are repeating her for “Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani” coz we know that she is the best and its always pleasure working with her.

Director Rajkumar Santoshi further adds, “She is a big asset to the movie, her presence on the set itself makes everybody relaxed and even tough she is the no1 star she is hassle free.”

A source close to the unit of Rajniti says, “Prakash Jha is so impressed by Katrina’s work in the movie that he is talking and praising about her to everyone he meets.”

The source further adds that Katrina would be seen in a no makeup look for her upcoming project Rajniti , Katrina is putting a lot of efforts for the movie an that itself speaks volumes for this professional freak. Katrina never made any fuss over she not being able to apply any make up.”

Ratan Jain the producer of “De Dana dan” is short of words praising this star. He says, “It’s a privilege to work with a star like Katrina, her presence on screen is surely very lucky. Most importantly he further adds, “The amount of energy she puts into each scene is impeccable and it’s very difficult to find such thorough professional like her.”

Salman Khans Rs 4 crore deal with a mouth freshener brand

Salman Khan’s films might not be bringing in the audiences, but that’s not stopping him from making his moolahelsewhere. Sources close to Sallu confirm that he has just got himself a Rs 4 crore deal with a mouth freshener brand, Chlormint. Interestingly, the ad will be directed by Prasoon Joshi, Aamir Khan’s good friend.

Must say, the once-elusive Salman is now going all out to promote himself and stay in the race with Shah Rukh and Aamir. So, whether it’s by campaigning for his politico friends or his IPL buddies, Sallu is to be found everywhere!

Saif Ali Khan just recently visited Aamir Khan on the sets

Saif Ali Khan just recently visited Aamir Khan on the sets of his film 3 Idiots in Mumbai. Sources claim, the Chote Nawab who has now turned a producer is trying to safeguard his interest but since Love Aaj Kal which is scheduled for a June end release is his first production he doesn’t want it to get affected by the dispute.

Sources further revealed, “Aamir was pleasantly surprised when Saif visited him as Kareena Kapoor who is also acting in the film wasn’t shooting that day.

But Aamir then made time for Saif that afternoon during lunch and talked to him about the current status on the issue and the stand they are likely to take in the future.

The meeting was said to be highly informative for Saif who left the venue a bit more assured and in hope that things sort out before his film releases.”

Shahid in one of his most likeable avatars alongwith Miss Chopra

 

Kaminey - the very term that could actually invoke anybody to bash the person mouthing it, also happens to be the name of the much anticipated film that stars Shahid Kapoor alongwith the Priyanka Chopra and directed by the ever so versatile Vishal Bhardwaj.

For many days, after the announcement of the film, not even a single soul got to know of Shahid’s double role in it, a much guarded secret that has now become the USP of the film! So much for irony. The adjoining snap has Shahid in one of his most likeable avatars alongwith Miss Chopra, which has been shot inside of a train.

Well, the news from our reliable sources also has it that the till now chocolate boy Shahid will be seen as someone who is totally absolutely raw, rigid and sturdy!

Not just that, even the locations in which the film has shot have been kept as rustic as possible, which includes local stations, and scarp and junkyards!

Word also has it that in this film, Priyanka  plays an extremely vocal Maharashtrian girl, who believes in making herself heard. If that wasn’t enough, then, hear this one.

Kaminey also marks the ’debut’ of Amole Gupte as the ruthless villain. For starters, Amole is the very name that was in eternal spotlight for quite sometime, courtesy the ’creative differences’ between him and Aamir Khan, during the shoot of Taare Zameen Par.

Well, we are just having galore of reasons to yearn for that time machine as we just cannot wait any longer for Kaminey.
