Shahid is tired of being single

Shahid Kapoor is currently busy shooting in UK for his dad Pankaj Kapoor’s ‘Mausam’, opposite Sonam Kapoor. Apparently Shahid has admitted that he is quite tired of being single.

“I’m tired of my single status. May be I will run into my dream girl in Edinburgh,”says Shahid, who is working in his dad’s directorial debut. Shahid has had several official and unofficial relationships, some true and some made up by the media.
So all the young single girls have a chance to get lucky now, as our chocolate boy is single and ready to mingle! We wish him all the best with his lady hunt.

Shahid Kapur is looking forward to working with Priyanka Chopra again

Shahid Kapur revealed that Vishal Bhardwaj and he are currently in talks about the possibilities of bringing out a sequel to Kaminey.

“We have spoken about making a sequel. And this time, we will make it more accessible. If last time, 75 per cent people understood and 25 per cent didn’t get it, we are now aiming at the 25 per cent if we make a film again!” quips Shahid.

The actor also reveals that he is looking forward to working with Priyanka Chopra again. “I love what she did in Kaminey and I would love to work with her again. Now I want to do an out and out commercial movie with her,” he says.

Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are Jilted in love

Just when you thought that Shahid Kapoor has been linked to every single dame in B-town, the stunner is said to be dating the sultry Deepika Padukone. Jilted in love, the twosome are said to be the new ‘IT’ couple of Bollywood, trying to get over their heartbreak as they look for comfort in each other. Believe it or not, but sources state that the gorgeous duo is taking forward their affair slow yet steady.

From going pub-hopping to visiting each other’s pad, the two are said to be nearly inseparable. And sources state that when the two are not partying together, they can be found at each other’s home. “Shahid’s car was parked outside Deepika’s Bandra residence a few days ago,” says a source.

Talking about their relationship, a source told a daily, “Shahid and Deepika - both are quite headstrong and have moved on from their failed relationships. They are only concentrating on their career at the moment. They want to have a strong foothold in the industry and think alike, which is the main reason why they have clicked together.”

And it’s not like our filmmakers are ignoring this new affair. Buzz has it that the two are so much in love that they are now approached to star together in a film. Talking about the film, the source stated, “One of Shahid’s close friend is trying to work on the project. Deepika and Shahid are vaguely aware of the project and are definitely keen on working together since both of them are in-demand.”

And in love, is what it seems!

Shahid Kapoor Chance Pe Dance have come up with really hatke idea

Creative films, even more creative promotions! Films these days don’t seem to compromise on anything when they want to promote themselves, that to different in unique style…

The marketing team of Shahid Kapoor -Genelia starrer ‘Chance Pe Dance’ have come up with really hatke idea. Going by the story of the film that features Shahid living a car, the promotional campaign will make use of this four-wheeler. And not only that, Shahid will in fact live in it… that too for two days!

“Marketing the film is very important and everyone needs different ideas,” said sources, “It’s very difficult to convince Shahid to do something, but he approved of this idea. We will mostly be using an old Maruti 800, which Shahid has used in the film. He will actually stay in the car and even have meetings inside the car. The event will take place in January, days before the film’s release.”

However this is just one of the many plans for promoting the film and nothing has been finalised as of now, said sources close to the productions.

‘Chance Pe Dance’ is bannered under UTV Motion Pictures and directed by Ken Ghosh.

Ken Ghosh admits he had loud arguments with Shahid Kapoor

Ken Ghosh admits he had loud arguments with Shahid Kapoor on the sets during the shooting of Chance Pe Dance.

But it had to do with Shahid’s suddenly-saturated schedules.

Says Ken, “For the first time in his career Shahid was doing three films at the same time-Kaminey, Dil Bole Hadippa and my film Chance Pe Dance. Naturally there was a conflict of interest.”

Ken admits there were loud arguments over Shahid’s schedules. “I’d ask for three days. He would have only one day to spare. I’d naturally be upset. Then understandably, Shahid wanted time off.

He couldn’t be seen on my set straight after shooting for one of the other two films. This naturally led to heated arguments. For me as a director it was okay to come on the sets without sleep. But Shahid had to catch up on his resting time.

Or the dark circles would have shown on camera. And since Shahid is fair-complexioned those dark circles would be even more visible.”

The last thing that Ken wanted was for his hero to fall ill. “Priyanka Chopra had to be hospitalized because of overwork and exhaustion. I didn’t want Shahid to go through the same experience.”

The effort has been worth it for both Shahid and Ken. “Shahid’s dancing in Chance Pe Dance is the film’s mainstay. But his performance is not just about dancing.

Some of the things he has done with in the dramatic scenes took me by surprise. Shahid has brought subtle expressions into scenes which I didn’t catch while shooting. Only during editing I realized what he had done.”

Ken Ghosh who introduced Shahid Kapoor in Ishq Vishq five years ago admits the actor has changed. “Isn’t change inevitable? We all evolve with time. Shahid is no exception.”

So are the stories of a rift between the two true?

Ken doesn’t deny the fact that there were heated arguments and fights during the making of Chance Pe Dance. “But they were all for the betterment of the film. See when Shahid did his first film Ishq Vishq with me he only had that film on hand and was able to give me his full attention.

Shahid Kapoor plays a struggler wanting to make it big in Bollywood

Those who’ve seen the Amitabh Bachchan -Amjad Khan film Yaarana will recall that Big B goes through an entire sequence saying ‘kaccha papad pakka papad’ much to the chagrin of his co-star Neetu Singh.

Now, Shahid Kapoor will be seen mouthing the same line in his next film Chance Pe Dance where he plays a struggler wanting to make it big in Bollywood.

It’s a well known acting technique where actors mouth tongue twisters to get their pronunciation right. It’s believed that Shahid religiously does these exercises every morning.

It’s surprising though, to learn that he still needs to do these recitation each day, considering that in his last film there were more than enough tongue twisters thanks to the “Sa ko Fa” bit of Kaminey.

Shahid smashed by his female fans in Bangkok

It was a rare occasion for actor Shahid Kapoor yesterday while shooting in Bangkok when some female fans were adamant to see him bare chested much to his embarrassment.

Shahid , who is shooting for Parmeet Sethi’s upcoming film was shocked to notice a group of female fans shouting that he take off his vest and show them his body.

Though Shahid didn’t relent, the fans kept chasing him till he entered his vanity van and refused to leave.

Finally the guards were called to take the situation under control.

Well, it seems after his dare bare act in the film KAMINEY, Shahid’s female fans can go to any extent to watch him do the bare act again.

Shahid and Priyanka part ways

Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, who had apparently started dating on the stes of Kaminey have split now.

While Shahid is the shy and reserved kind, Priyanka is totally a party freak. Sources say that the main reason for their break-up is their opposite characteristics. We have also heard some source say "They have been having fights, and that has been taking its toll on Priyanka. She has been falling ill because she cannot handle the stress in her personal life. After courting and then dating each other for months, the couple has finally broken up. The decision to end it was made by Shahid. Priyanka is quite devastated."
There are others who say that Shahid never commited to Priyanka knowing that this wouldn't go far. We hope Priyanka recovers and moves on as they both deserve the best!

Shahid Kapur has called off his relationship with Priyanka Chopra

They came together during the making of Vishal Bharadwaj’s ’Kaminey’. Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapur were the most unlikely of lovers as they were as different from each other as chalk and cheese. But in ’Kaminey’ both actors managed to break through their images and do a splendid job in the movie.

Of course, ’Kaminey’ is more of Shahid’s film, but there is no taking away from Priynaka’s gutsy performance in the movie. But probably the differences in their personalities only sought to take them away from each other. Priyanka is known to be part loving, very sociable creature while Shahid is more the home loving type.

There were reports of a rift developing between the two, but the differences come out in the open at a recent award function, where both were felicitated. It seems that Shahid ignored Priyanka and took his award and walked out of the function. According to reports, it is Shahid who has called off the relationship, something which Priyanka is not being able to accept.

According to sources, she seems to have been the more involved of the two. Anyway, Shahid has been on a rolling spree even since he split with Kareena Kapoor. Vidya Balan and Sania Mirza were there before Priyanka came onto the scene. To give him credit, Shahid is very young and is just beginning to taste success in his acting career.

He realises that he needs to focus on his career first and foremost. Priyanka, on the other hand, has more or less made it. She is among the top ranking actresses today, right along with Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. Shahid still has some distance to travel.

Anyway, with ’Kaminey’, a lot of things may have changed in Shahid’s life. It was like his coming of age film. As for the presence of Priyanka in his life, the duo has never been really vocal about their relationship so one really does not know how much of the reports regarding the relationship were true and to what extent.

Shahid and Kareena might work together

This news is exclusively for Shahid and Kareena fans and those who enjoyed their chemistry thoroughly. First things first, Pankaj Kapoor is coming up with script with Shahid and Kareena in mind.

On anaother instance, Kareena was asked the forbidden question. She said recently that she doesn't mind working with Shahid again if the script is right. Now, that's what we call true professionalism! We hope to see the wonderful jodi spin magic again, after their fantastic movie Jab We Met.

The lie of so-called ’cool break up’ between Shahid and Kareena was exposed when the duo refused to romance in two new songs for their much-delayed Boney Kapoor film Milenge Milenge.

Though Kareena refused to comment, a source close to her says, “Kareena is more than happy to extend all cooperation to producer Boney Kapoor and director Satish Kaushik, but she won’t shoot an extra songs for the film. Shahid is a closed chapter.”

This has made hapless Satish Kaushik to use the footage for the two songs, which would be used as promotional videos. It is also said that the actors would not promote for the film together.

A music video for the newly-recorded Himesh track was also planned as part of the film’s promotion. However, there would be no joint appearances by Shahid and Kareena.

Shahid Kapoor was voted as the sexiest vegetarian

Bollywood celebrities such as Shahid Kapoor,Amrita Rao, John Abraham and Sonu Nigam have said that they are interested in getting involved with PETA for the welfare rights of animals. Other stars, also interested, are Esha Deol, Upen Deol, Yana Gupta and Raveena Tandon. All these bollywood celebrities could be seen in poster campaigns for the charity in the full nude.
Shahid Kapoor was chosen because he was voted the sexiest vegetarian and Amrita Rao is a sexy girl-next-door who promotes vegetarianism. What’s more is that they look good together. He adds that Amrita has already tried the sexy look in Shortkut but she failed. Amrita will wear hot pants and a tube top in the advert.

She wants to give it (her sexy avatar) another (vegetarian) shot and the campaign will get people talking about her and she does need some publicity. Shahid Kapoor will flaunt his chiselled six-pack-abs and it will be his sexiest look since ‘the running with the horses sequence’ in Kaminey.
A PETA spokesperson has said that these pictures might not be acceptable in India but might work overseas, and there is no reason why stars such as John and Sonu cannot be seen going without clothes for the overseas Indian.
The campaign will be shot next month. Shahid Kapoor is currently in the US and was unavailable for comment while Amrita Rao said that she was looking forward to the campaign which will spread the message of how sexy vegetarianism is.

Shahid Kapoor's speech defect the fashion statement

Shahid Kapoor’s speech defect in KAMINEY is now a fashion statement, and is being copied by the young and old. The actor not only essayed both his speech defect roles (a news that we broke, as usual, on April 14 - Shahid stammers when nervous! ) to perfection, but with the cute way in which he spoke, he won all the hearts, and we can now hear many trying to emulate his style by substituting ’s’ with ’f’.

School children, and especially the youth have picked up his style and made it into a fashion statement. We have had fans emulating hairstyles, dresses and walking, dancing styles of their favourite actors, but this is the first time in the history of cinema that the mannerisms relating to speech defect are being aped by so many.

In fact, people even go to the extent of calling out to Shahid when they see him, by asking, ’Arre, Fahid, kaifa hai tu yaar?" and Shahid simply enjoys all the attention. Shahid Kapoor to seriously consider hiring personal bodyguards now

Last month Shahid was able to save a paper cup full of coffee without a drop spilling despite being mobbed while promoting his then upcoming film KAMINEY. This week post the release of this blockbuster, when Shahid walked across screaming fans on his multiplex visits, he not only lost his expensive dark glasses, but his metallic coffee flask was actually broken thanks to hysterical fans.

The spurt of fans since his superstardom has taken gigantic proportions. So much so that his spot boy, makeup artist, manager and publicist are almost doubling up as his body guards, struggling to keep him and themselves secure at public events.

It’s not easy to break a metallic flask even in normal circumstances. This incident coupled with his sunglasses being picked up, and his team dealing with the increased crowds has lead Shahid to seriously consider hiring personal bodyguards now.

’’Yes I am currently in talks with some security agencies so as to make sure my team’s security is taken care of at such times,’’ said Shahid Kapoor.

Sheena Shahabadi says that I am a lot like- 'Mahee'!

As Teree Sang released a hatke story, people have been eager to know about the lead actors in the film. Ruslaan and Sheena, the lead actors of the film are young and energetic.

Sheena Shahabadi who happens to be the daughter of Sadhana Singh, of Nadiya ke paar fame. The young actress chose Teree Sang to be her launch vehicle knowing pretty well that the film doesn’t actually have a regular Bollywood theme.

Sheena identifies her self with the character she plays with plays in the film and says “I am a lot like Mahee. If I commit a mistake, I take responsibility for it. So, apart from the pregnancy part, I completely identify with the character.”

She adds, “As for playing the part of a pregnant girl, I would consult my mom because an actor has to be a good observer. It’s tough to play the part of a pregnant, teenage girl who doesn’t really know how painful it is. So it was very challenging.”

Sheena seems to have learnt the trick of the trade. She is also full of praise for her Satish Kaushik and Ruslaan. She also denies the film being copied from Hollywood flick Juno.

Shahid thrilled to play a bad guy in Kaminey

Shahid is thrilled to play the bad guy on screen for the first time. "Good can get boring after a period of time. I have tried to achieve what director Vishal Bharadwaj has envisaged. It is the best double role that I have come across in recent times," Shahid, who is a big success as the 'good boy' in many roles so far.

This chocolate boy is going to play a double role, with speech disorders, in Vishal Bharadwaj's Kaminey. Shahid's character 'Guddu' stammers while 'Charlie' has a lisp. "We visited ENT specialists and did some research by meeting people who face such disorders in real life. I have tried to realistically represent both the characters. They are not caricatures," Shahid said adding "it was comparatively more difficult to play 'Guddu'."

"Earlier in films, such characters were meant to do only comedy. But, for the first time, a hero was representing such people on screen and they were very happy about it. It is my most challenging role till date," he said.

However, he was surprised and disappointed over Kaminey been given a 'A' certificate by the Censor Board.

Kaminey has been given an 'A' certificate by the Censor Board, and of course, nobody can be happy about that. Shahid said: "There is a lot more violence in other films."

Shahid Kapoor chosen for Rajiv Gandhi Award

Chocolate boy and youth icon Shahid Kapoor has been selected for the 12th Rajiv Gandhi Award fro the 'Best Actor' category.

This award function will take place in Mumbai in the second week of August. Prior to Shahid this honour has been given to many other popular celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, Mukesh Ambani, Sunita Williams and Aishwarya Rai.

Shahid said: "I was pleasantly surprised to get the news about my being chosen for the prestigious award. I am only 28 years old and it's really early in my career. I feel humbled and honoured to be chosen by the jury."

Priyanka replaced

Priyanka has had great and not so great releases in the last one year. We have heard that she lost out on some major projects.

For the sequels of her hit movies, rumors say that Deepika will replace her in Krrish 2, the resons being unknown to the media as yet. To add to this disappointment, Karan Johar has decided to take Katrina for Dostana 2. We guess this is because Priyanka walks away with Bobby Deol in the climax of the movie. So apparently it will be tough to weave her character into the story.

However, she has a handful working for perfectionist film maker Vishal Bharadwaj in Kaminey. To add to this she is acting opposite Shahid in this movie!

Shahid has been distracting all those around him with his new priced possession. This new sophisticated camera accompanies him everywhere, be it the sets of Ahmed Khan’s Paathshala or Ken Ghosh’s Yahoo.

The popular youth icon is found taking pictures in between his shots. So when there are flashes all of a sudden, now everyone knows it is Shahid’s doing.

Shahid being a perfectionist is also often seen discussing about lenses and angles with experts in the field. Guess he takes more photographs than photographers take of him these days!

Kareena, Saif and Shahid’s name together again

Ever since they have broken up, we know very well that Kareena hasn’t spoken a word about Shahid or the reason of their break up. Well, time went by, Saif and Kareena came together and they were perfect for each other. In other words, Kareena moved on.

Now, the world might feel that she ditched Shahid to be with Saif, but what makes people say that? And what is it that still brings the three names come up when there is a mention of Shahid Kapoor?

One of Kareena’s friend said: “Kareena has been quietly watching the tamaasha unfold. Lately, almost every time Shahids name cropped up she too was mentioned , and not in a positive manner. To portray her as the restless woman who jilted Shahid for Saif is so unfair. Only Kareena and Shahid know what really happened to tear them apart.”

There is constant comparison amongst the three – so much so that there is a buzz about Shahid doing a fabulous job in Kaminey, much better than the original choice for the role – Saif.

Saif reacting to this news said: “Normally, I wouldnt go by any conspiracy theory. But this does seem a little too much. Why are Kareena and I dragged into other people's lives If someone talks about Kaminey, then Im forced to say the role was first offered to me. But do we have to resort to this silly game of oneupmanship We're all mature adults here and we should behave accordingly.”

Kareena, who is more bugged than one can imagine, stated: “Why am I being dragged into all this I don’t like my name to come up in connection with other peoples lives. I’ve moved on and I wish Shahid Kapur would also do so. Beyond that I dont wish to say anything. Nothing can separate Saif and me.”

We’ll have to wait for Shahid’s comment on this!
