Ranbir happily endorses Deepika view

Deepika Padukone raised many a brow with her unabashedly frank comment about gifting Ranbir Kapoor, her ex boyfriend, a pack of condoms. Ranbir now says he happily endorses her view.

The comment was made on Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan and that is why it made such news. Though Deepika later clarified that the comment was tongue in cheek, Ranbir says he didn’t mind it one bit.

At the Teacher’s Achievement Awards held in Mumbai, Ranbir was asked to react to Deepika’s comment.

“I think she said a good thing. Our country should be aware of safe sex and condom is a means to that. And thank you for that,” Ranbir said.

He did not stop at that and went ahead to wish Deepika good luck for her upcoming film.

“Best of luck for Break Ke Baad. It seems really nice...you and Imran are a great couple. Looking forward to see the film,” Ranbir added.

Deepika still hasn’t erased the RK tattoo on her nape: Ranbir Kapoor

Though Deepika Padukone is quite candid about her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor and has expressed her bitterness through various ways, Ranbir, on the other hand, has never spoken about it.

Now, for the first time after his break-up, the Kapoor lad has opened up in front of Karan Johar during his show Koffee With Karan.

As Deepika still hasn’t erased the RK tattoo on her nape, Ranbir told Karan, “I have had one of the most wonderful relationships with Deepika that lasted for more than two years. It’s brave of her to keep the RK tattoo intact even after we have parted ways.”

Karan also had Sonam Kapoor and Deepika for another episode. These two actresses have shared cold vibes since the release of their debut films. But during the shooting of the episode they enjoyed discussing Ranbir. If Deepika wanted to gift him ‘a packet of condoms’, Sonam apparently said he can’t remain ‘faithful’, but can be a good friend.

Ranbir along with Imran Khan had recently shot for Koffee With Karan. The episode will be telecast this Sunday.

Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are in cosmic character

Box office collections notwithstanding, “Anjaana Anjaani” is certainly on a roll. The two suicidal protagonists in the rom-com who meet when they are on the verge of suicide are about to take a plunge in another direction.
The protagonists played by Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra will now feature in a series of comic books describing the adventures of their characters Akash and Kiera.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has spoken to a leading publishing house which enthusiastically agreed to the idea. The first graphics have already been prepared and if all goes well the inaugural comic based on Ranbir and Priyanka’s characters in “Anjaana Anjaani” will hit the stands for Diwali.
That’s right. Kiera (Priyanka Chopra) and Akash (Ranbir Kapoor), the losers in love and business, respectively, are now being relocated from the screen into print and on the internet as comic book characters.
Says producer Sajid Nadiadwala: “A lot of us involved with this film felt the Priyanka and Ranbir characters will translate well into comic books. We are in negotiation. But I can’t really talk about the project until all the deals are done. In fact, I’d request you to not write about this until everything is final. We don’t want the idea to be stolen.”

However, one of the actors from the film spilled the beans adding that if the comic books succeed, Nadiadwala also has plans of doing a cartoon version of the “Anjaana Anjaani” characters for satellite television and internet entitled “The Mad Mad Adventures Of Kiera and Akash”

Real-life romance between Ranbir and Katrina?

Everybody is talking about the alleged relationship between Kapoor clan’s youngest charm Ranbir Kapoor and the beautiful actress Katrina Kaif. The latest rumour is that the couple is going to make their relation public by making a formal announcement.

The love birds have reportedly decided to announce their relationship to the media. Ranbir, it seems, will follow the path of his cousin sexy star Kareena Kapoor and will announce his love for Katrina during the ongoing promotion of his upcoming movie ‘Anjaana Anjaani’.

The actor was earlier involved with actress Deepika Padukone, who has decided to move on and has already chosen another partner. But Katrina’s ex Salman Khan is yet to digest the fact that his lady love has left him to opt for a much younger Ranbir Kapoor. The ‘Dabangg’ star believes that the entire series of events is just a promotional gimmick for their new movie.

The actor thinks that it started when Katrina acted with Ranbir in ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani’ and the rumour strengthened with ‘Raajneeti’.

However, the reports suggest that Ranbir and Katrina are in a romantic relationship for more than a year now and they prefer to meet each other at their houses to avoid public gossip.

Ranbir Kapoor, the ’prince of Bollywood’, turns 28 on September 28.
The scion of the first family of Hindi cinema, he is the grandson of legendary Raj Kapoor and son of actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh.

The handsome actor debuted in films in 2007 with ’Saawariyaa’. Though his first film was a flop, he followed it up with hits such as ’Bachna Ae Haseeno’, ’Wake Up Sid’, ’Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ and ’Raajneeti’. His forthcoming releases include ’Anjaana Anjaani’ and ’Rockstar’.

His former girlfriend Deepika Padukone tweeted: "Happy Birthday RK!!wishing u loads of happiness &success...and good luck with AA...:-)". And his ’Anjaana’ costar Priyanka Chopra wrotre: "Hey guys on my way to kc college in mumbai wit bday boy ranbir.. Anjaana anjaani in da house..".

I’d like to do a loyalty test on Madhuri Dixit: Ranbir Kapoor

He is the much-loved rising son in B-Town and has been branded as a Casanova what with his reported liaisons with Katrina Kaif (and subsequent break off with Deepika Padukone). It seems the gossip mills have been linking him up with one name after another.

But ask actor Ranbir Kapoor about this, andhe skirts the issue saying that betrayal and cheating are part and parcel of romance today.

So, who’s that one dream girl who he hopes would cheat on her partner for him? “Madhuri Dixit!” pat comes the answer.

The actor admits that he has not yet gotten over his teenage crush on actor Madhuri Dixit. The Kapoor scion says that given a choice he’d love to do a ‘loyalty test’ on her even if she’s happily married.

The actor is referring to a popular international reality show that’s based on a relationship being put to test by an undercover agent, who tries to flirt and wean away one partner in a relationship. “When it comes to Madhuri Dixit, I am tempted to do a loyalty test on her... No other woman has that effect on me,” says Ranbir coyly when talking of his childhood crush.

Even if she’s happily married to Dr Sriram Nene and with two kids?“I know I shouldn’t be saying this. But come on, she’s my favourite actor, and it doesn’t matter that she’s married,” quips Ranbir.

Since he’s brought up the topic of trying to lure a woman he fancied away from her boyfriend or husband, would he do that in the future? “I’d be petrified. Besides, I am not as good an actor to track somebody this close,” says the newest superstar on the block.

However, Ranbir hopes to make films on Emotional Atyachaar type topics in the future. “Our culture doesn’t allow us to glorify this side of human nature, but it’s important to know that such things are rampant here too,” he says.

Ranbir Kapoor says that I am innocent and immature

Ranbir Kapoor may have moved on from his relationship with Deepika Padukone but the onscreen loverboy has strange views when it comes to love. Ask him about his take on the emotion and the actor claims, “I am innocent and immature and have still not understood what love is all about.” He adds that he is still learning what love is all about by acting in films based on love stories. “I keep doing movies which are based on love stories so that I can learn more about love and relationships,” he states.

All this sounds a bit incredible, for whoever thought that acting in romantic films would be a learning ground for lessons in love.

What happen to Ranbir Kapoor?

On one hand, Ranbir Kapoor is busy promoting his upcoming film Anjaana Anjaani which is set for release on September 24 (next Friday). On the other, he is hoping for the film’s release to get postponed.
Why? Because September 24 is also the day when the Allahabad High Court will give its verdict on the Babri Masjid land dispute case. It’s a verdict of great importance and sensitivity and has already sent the UP state machinery gearing up for tightened security.
On a day when the people of India await the verdict on the long pending dispute and sentiments of certain community might flare up, Ranbir deems it unfit to release the film. He wants the film to release a day later.
“I don’t wish to celebrate on a day when such a big decision is going to be announced,” Ranbir is quoted to have said in a media report.

However, Ranbir admits that there are too many people involved in the production and distribution of the film and therefore the release may not be postponed.

Salman praises his juniors

Salman has always been appreciated for promoting and encouraging new talent in Bollywood, be it heroines or music directors. But we also respect him more for being so

positive towards male newcomers.

He is all praises for Ranbir and Imran. “I think Ranbir is very good. I have seen their films, I think these guys, Ranbir and Imran are terrific”. “Imran is adorable and Ranbir

has a lot of talent” he added. Though the rumors say that Ranbir kind of stole Katrina away from him, Salman sounds to be far above all this. No doubt he has a big heart!

Deepika says Ranbir strayed

We all know that the relationship between Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor has been called off. There was a buzz all over about Ranbir's growing fondness for Katrina Kaif, that ultimately led to the breakup. Well, nobody had said it bluntly, but in a recent interview, Deepika used the word 'strayed' which kind of clarified matters further.

"When I am in a relationship, I give it my all. I am totally committed and devoted. I am more giving, maybe because I am a Capricorn. I don’t expect the same back but somehow in all my relationships, it has been the guy who has strayed. You can ignore something if it happens once, but if it keeps happening, you have to realise that something is wrong," Deepika said.

After she has moved on in life, Deepika looks quite cheerful and happy with Mallya junior. But unlike her relationship with Ranbir, she wants to keep her personal life “very, very personal”, and not talking about her personal life to the media.

Ranbir and Imran talk about their films

Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor are perhaps the best in the younger lot of actors in Bollywood currently. They are rivals but at the same time they are great friends as well. But friendship also brings with it a certain amount of jealously and that’s exactly what Imran feels sometimes.
Imran said, "I find Ranbir a very exciting actor to watch. He’s a damn good dancer. He is a better dancer than I am. I don’t have that natural flair. I need to work and rehearse. He doesn’t rehearse. I am always jealous of people who dance well."

So do Ranbir and Imran talk about their films? "We don’t discuss scripts but we are very upfront about (each other’s) films. He called me after watching LUCK and said that it was damn bad," revealed Imran.

Will Ranbir and Deepika get back together?

Ranbir Kapoor being compared to the Badshah of Bollywood

The chocolate hero Ranbir Kapoor , is merely four films old, but he is already being compared to the Badshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan.

Well this comparison comes easy, as Ranbir does romantic scene with as much ease as the suave Shahrukh Khan, who is a veteran in enacting romantic scenes.

When we asked Ranbir about this, he said, “I think comparing me with Shahrukh Khan would be like insulting him. Till now, I have done only 3 films, which are by no ways a parameter to compare me with him. In my last film ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ I have played a romantic character, where in ‘Rocket Singh -Salesman of the year’ there is romance, but on a different level.”

Well however hard Ranbir might try to deny, the fact remains that people like him in romantic roles, as he sure is a charmer! No doubt Ranbir must be happy to be compared with Shahrukh , after all it is SRK who is the benchmark of success in Bollywood these days.

Ranbir Kapoor not quite fond of this entire tagging of next big thing

One conversation with Ranbir Kapoor and you realize that he isn’t someone who is easily flattered. Congratulate him about his recent big success and he won’t start going ga-ga even before you have even finished your sentence.

Also, he is someone who is pretty controlled about his emotions and how he wants to conduct himself in front of the outside world. He understands that being at the top is a ’momentary phase’, is proud of being a Kapoor but doesn’t believe in living forever with this tag and is pretty rooted to the ground reality.

Over to Ranbir who is now all set for Shimit Amin directed ’Rocket Singh- Salesman of the Year’.

Ranbir, you are pretty much being considered as the next big thing that must be a great position to be in?

Really, I am not quite fond of this entire tagging of ’next big thing’. Either you are ’the best thing’ or you are not. There is nothing in between. This is why I don’t take all this adulation seriously. Appreciation is great, but I don’t have any intentions to get carried away.

But being a ’star’ does matter in this industry, isn’t it?

No, it’s not a star but a product that matters. I am truly convinced that people care about the film; it’s story and the treatment rather than just the star presence. I am sure every top actor is also aware of this fact. Whether it is me, Mr. Shah Rukh Khan or anyone else, people would be interested in seeing whether the movie works as a whole or not.

Were you anticipating such huge response for ’Ajab Prem...’? No, not at all! See, as an actor when you work so closely on a project, you tend to lose objectivity. So all you can do it work hard with good conviction and then leave it to God.

I guess the perception factor really worked in everyone’s favor. After ’Wake Up Sid’, people acknowledged this fact that I could act very well. For a limited release, the film did quite well and it’s impact was felt in the huge opening of ’Ajab Prem..’ which was a complete massy affair.

I am positive that this would continue with ’Rocket Singh...’ too.

Ranbir Kapoor hopes to get back together with Deepika Padukone

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, who broke up just a little while ago, might get back together as Ranbir feels they are only going through a “rough patch”.

The couple broke up after almost two years of dating. And people expected Ranbir to get interested in his co-star Priyanka Chopra, with whom he’s shooting for ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ in Bangkok. However, they were surprised that Ranbir was too busy either taking walks or going to malls or hitting the gym whenever he wasn’t shooting.

Ranbir hopes to get back together with Deepika . Deepika, herself, has been quite unhappy in the past few weeks. Let’s hope the couple does end up happy and lucky in love.

Ranbir Kapoor is climbing the price ladder very rapidly

The latest heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is climbing the price ladder very rapidly. On looking at his popularity, producers are ready to sign him at any cost. He is hardly four films old and he has been holding the price tag of 12 crores. Director Imtiaz Ali has signed Ranbir for a whopping amount of 12 crores.

An industry source notes, “Ranbir is already in the Top Ten bracket. He is outdoing himself with every new film and his fan base is increasing with every passing day”. He was paid 50 lakhs for ‘Saawariya’ and 5 crores for “Bachna Ae Haseeno“. For the new film, ‘Anjaana Anjaani’, Ranbir Kapoor has been paid Rs 8 crore.

His recent two releases, ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’, did a roaring business all over. “Now Kapoor has signed Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision’s next to be directed by Imtiaz Ali for Rs 12 crores.

Ranbir has wanted to work with Imtiaz and would’ve readily signed the film for a far lesser amount. But he is being offered big money, so why should be refuse?,” asked a trade pundit.

The spokesperson for Shree Ashtavinayak says, “It is true that we have signed Ranbir for Imtiaz’s new movie but not for 12 crores. As a part of the contract, we have with the actors we can’t discuss the remuneration publicly anyways.”

Deepika signing big films

Deepika is going all out signing some good projects these days. After accepting offers from Yashraj banner and filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, she chose to go for a movie opposite Imran Khan, produced by Kunal Shah.

“It is supposedly a romantic entertainer. Both Imran and Deepika ooze energy at right level on screen. We found it appropriate to cast the two together. We are confident that movie would make it big,” says Kunal Shah. On another level, she is quite tight lipped about her break up with Ranbir Kapoor, though there were rumours that the main reason for them to have parted ways was because Ranbir was flirting a bit too much with the women he worked with.

Ranbir Kapoor has donned eight different looks in Ajab Prem

Remember the nine different looks Sanjeev Kumar donned for Naya Din Nayi Raat. Our current generation heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is set to do something similar in Tips Films Ajab Prem KI Ghazab Kahani. The movie is already getting great response from audience after the promo has hit the theatres and TV.

A unit source revealed, “Ranbir has donned eight different looks in the film. He impersonates as the pathanwala, halwaiwala, a corporate officer etc. He has even donned the Charlie Chaplin look in the film.”

Shyamli has styled Ranbir’s costume and look in Ajab Prem . “When Shyamli met Santoshi, he clearly told her that he wanted her to make Ranbir’s character appear very real. He did not want anything that would look over the top on screen. Shyamli worked hard on Ranbir’s eight different looks. In fact it has turned out to be exceptionally good on screen,” said our source.

Everyone in the Bollywood fraternity is hoping high with this film and the young pairing of Ranbir and Katrina is being loved by audience.
