Asin will not show skin

One movie in Bollywood was enough for Asin to give other actresses a run for their money. Ghajini did it all for her. With with release of London Dreams, we have also got to know of some trouble that she has been facing these days.

Producers and filmmakers are urging her to expose to glamorous and intimate scenes with her heroes. Now, this has been a no-no with Asin, and she has to make it clear again and again, and turned down offers in the course if necessary. She stuck to her some of her rules right since her entry into the South Indian Film Industry. It has been reported that Producer Vipul Shah had asked her to wear skimpy clothes for the role, but "a rule is a rule" says Asin, who carried it out with her own norms. Wonder why it's so important to show skin to reach the hearts of the people.

The return of Ghajini

Madhu Mehta, the producer of the blockbuster ‘Ghajini’ is planning to release the movie again this April.

It’s not a new movie that we’ll get to see, but second release of the same movie. With an intention of getting the best out of Bollywood, the producer has decided to again release the film with 200 prints, as he is aware of the crisis around. The “crisis” is nothing but the decision of the film producers who have decided not to release any new films in the Multiplexes from April 4.
That would more or less mean that movie buffs who will not get to watch any new releases, will land up at screen theatres.
‘Ghajini’ is appraching 100 days of successful running. Nobody expected a second release so soon! But, for all those who want to watch it again, you can be sure that there’s something more to the movie this time as Madhu Mantena has decided to add some extra scenes to these 200 new prints.

Ghajini beats Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

All the effort 'Perfectionist' Aamir Khan had put in for Ghajini is showing in all aspects of the film. If it took 10 months for Aamir to pump up his 8 packs, the film is breaking all the records in a matter of few weeks.

The latest one, Ghajini pushed arguably Bollywood's most popular film, 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' to second place by collecting the maximum amount of money in the domestic market ever by a Hindi film.

In a few weeks, Ghajini collected Rs.200 crores from across the globe.

In this, the foriegn market contributed about Rs. 39 crore. The balance, Rs.162 crore has been from the Indian market. This is of course a staggering amount considering the fact that the movie has a long way to go. Its upto your imagination as to how much the movie is going to collect in the coming days.
Whatever the other kings of Bollywood do, Aamir, 'the perfectionist' Khan rules Bollywood.

Ghajini soaring high!

Ghajini might be the first film to appear on the business section of leading newspapers. It had made a collection of Rs.35 crores by advance booking on the first day. It is a phenomenal achievement which no other hit films has achieved this year.

Yash Raj Film's 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' with King Khan and Anushka have made just Rs. 10 crores overall, on the first day.

Director Murugadoss have started getting more good offers from Bollywood and is likely to stay back in Mumbai.

Shah Rukh Khan is said to have already requested Murugadoss for a more powerful script than 'Ghajini'.

Ghajini's Climax out!!!

While Ghajini is scheduled to hit screens on Dec 25, there's an SMS that is offering 'Shock' n 'Surprise'. The SMS goes like this, 'Aamir's girlfriend is killed and he sets out to take revenge on killer. Finally, it's revealed that culprit is none other than Aamir himself'. It might be a rumour by someone who had watched Christopher Nolan's 'Mementoes' which was Murugadoss's inspiration to make Tamil Ghajini. Whatever it might be, the fans are quiet disturbed hearing this news.

Asin, Aamir's heroine in the film had stated in an interview that the climax sequences in the film is not the same as the original version.

Tamil 'Ghajini' had antagonist in dual role and maybe Aamir could have made it as one baddie. Surya, who was the hero of Tamil version doesn't know who had killed his lover even after bumping off the twin baddies.

Let's wait and watch whether the news spread around is true or not. Many fans have started betting about the climax prior to Ghajini's release.

100 Employees in a multiplex don Aamir’s Ghajini look

Who can avoid the buzz that Aamir has created with his upcoming release Ghajini? Well, if you think that the promos and interviews were about all that took place, here is some more surprising stuff that you might have missed out. Inspired by his psycho killer look, over 100 employees of a leading multiplex chain got themselves bald like him. "My girl friend was opposing this but I said I will do it," says a staff member from the Big Cinemas.

On hearing this, Aamir’s comment was: "I think that the staff and the chain are being a part and viewing this film as an event, I'm very happy." The multiplex also installed a statue of Aamir with eight packs abs. "The intention of the statue is just like that of a trailer for the movie," added Aamir.

"No gift from Salman Khan", Asin

Bollywood fans are waiting for the upcoming film ‘Ghajini’ which is Asin's debut in Bollywood. She is extremely busy in promoting the film with 'Perfectionist', Aamir Khan.

“It was a great pleasure to work with an experienced actor like him. He’s very passionate about his work, simple and open to ideas. He is a flexible person. His involvement in a project is believed to be another word for interference", Asin said.

Commenting about the rumour of recieving a gift from Salman Khan she said, ‘There has been no exchange of gifts. We were not shooting on Onam, in fact we were travelling. On Eid, we were shooting. I got no gift from Salman Khan and I also did not give any gift to him. Apart from this Salman Khan did not help me to buy an apartment in Mumbai. I have been in Mumbai for more than a year now.”

About her upcoming film 'London Dreams' she said, “While working for Ghajini, I got a call from Vipul Shah. After that I met him and I wanted to do the project. I didn’t have to consult Aamir. It was great to work with Salman Khan. I am looking forward to the next schedule.”

Bollywood looking for a turnaround

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Ghajini will be released in the next few days. It will be the first realeases this year for Shah Rukh and Aamir respectively after the super hits last year - Om Shanti Om and Taare Zameen Par. The two movies had generated over Rs.180 crore, at least three times the cost of their investments.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi will be released in over 1200 threatres on December 12th. Aamir's Ghajini will be released on December 24th in an equal number of movie screens.

"I expect audiences to return to the theatres for both Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Ghajini. Both films should be able to lift the mood of the masses and should go on to become commercial successes," said film analyst Komal Nahata. Nahata expects the two movies to make four times the money that has been invested in them.

Bollywood's record this year has not been very bright with only half a dozen hits compared to 13 films in 2007. The top-20 films' box office collections in 2007 were over Rs.850 crore compared to around Rs.700 crore for 2008 so far.
