Shah Rukh Khan dubs for a historical South Indian movie

Bollywood Badshah has been roped in to dub for a movie made in the South. The national award winner director T. Hariharan is bringing up a magnum opus with ‘Pazhassi Raja’. The movie is based on a popular Kerala King who is considered to have first initiated the freedom struggle against the British rule.

It has been reported the during the shooting of ‘My Name Is Khan’, Hariharan approached SRK in Film City and SRK agreed and was particular that he will not accept any fee for this. He has recorded a 45 seconds long prologue for the movie.

The Malayalam and Tamil versions will be done by Mohanlal and Kamal Haasan respectively. Mollywood’s super star Mammootty plays the hero. The movie is expected to make a release with 525 prints in five languages. Whereas, Kollywood’s Sarath Kumar, Gyanpeeth award winner M T Vasudevan Nair, music maestro Ilayaraja, Oscar winner Resul Pookkuty and other big names are said to be part of this project.
