Dramatic moments embellished into the screenplay of ACID FACTORY

Acid20ACID FACTORY is looking pretty slick, stylish and acidic. Moreover an all male cast with Dia Mirza as a femme fatale is pretty much reminiscent of KAANTE that again was a high adrenalin drive. With promise of some fast paced action and ton loads of dramatic moments embellished into the screenplay of ACID FACTORY, one would have expected director Suparn Verma to be quite comfortable about his film’s box office outing. However, the young film maker isn’t taking it easy. He explains why.

"That’s because the day any filmmaker, actor or producer in the planet can ever say that what will work or not work at the BO, I can write with blood that he/she will be richest person on earth", reasons Suparn who made his debut with a well made EK KHILADI EK HASEENA which unfortunately didn’t work at the box office.

Talking about the ensemble cast that he has managed to rope in for his film, Suparn says, "Yes, I am fortunate that I have got stalwarts like Irrfan Khan, Danny Denzongpa and Manoj Bajpayee along with dashing men like Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea and Aftab Shivdasani. And then there is of course Dia Mirza. But then honestly, you can get an entire industry as your film’s cast but in the end it’s the script, its execution and then ultimately the luck factor that counts most."

Narrating the much talked about incident from the past, Suparn says, "See, on its release SHOLAY was called as a flop but three decades later it is known as a cult film. Let’s admit it; box office is the most fickle women ever. You should never try to get even with her or aim at becoming smarter than her. You never know what’s going on in her mind."

"Believe me, in his right mind even Steven Spielberg can’t say what will work or not", Suparn adds on a lighter note, "Film makers work their a$$es off and each of them is always true to his/her work. What happens in the end is plain destiny."
