Does she still look seventeen? Well, I have doubts about it but some people seem to be convinced and so there she is, on the covers of the June edition of the magazine ‘Seventeen’. After an image makeover in TPTM with skimpy clothes, here again Amisha Patel is back with her cute and lovely looks in some yellow and black outfits. But hold on! Does this not look like the same dress which Preity Zinta had donned for ‘Vogue’.
Tis better if I do not say any further on it. You guys check it out for yourselves.

Akshay Kumar in his new rugged and rough and tough look for his reality show ‘Fear Factor- Khatron Ke Khiladi’
Meet the Khiladi Akshay Kumar in his new rugged and rough and tough look for his reality show ‘Fear Factor- Khatron Ke Khiladi’. Keeping in toe with the script and his action hero personality, Akshay Kumar has styled his look to be absolutely unconventional and defiant.
Styled by a London based designer, his fashion line includes unusual hooded jackets, contemporary scarves, and trendy ankle length boots. Sporting a military crew cut, salt-pepper stubble and of course designer aviator glasses, the actor sure gives several beats a miss. Tall, athletic, leaner and extremely handsome Akshay has done all the death defying stunts in the show himself, given that he is trained in martial arts.
Talking about his new look, Akshay Kumar said,
“I wanted to show all my ‘COLORS’ through my new style, Akshay’s personal style… I don’t want to look like someone else to be cool. What you see is what I am; from laughs to tears, to dangerous stuff, ladies and cheetah…It’s just me, myself and all my scarves.”
Just in case you forgot, the show will have 13 Bollywood beauties who’ll compete with each other- Yana Gupta, Aditi Govitrikar, Pooja Bedi, Sonali Kulkarni, Anita Hasnandani, Meghna Naidu, Tapur Chatterjee, Tupur Chatterjee, Nethra Raghuraman, Anjana Sukhani, Dipannita Sharma, Vidya Malvade and Urvashi Sharma. The show will be shot entirely in South Africa, over a period of one month and is being produced by Endemol India.
the budget of Love Story 2050 set around Rs. 50 crores
Harman Baweja is turning out to be indeed different from the rest of his ilk who love making tall claims about their films for weeks before they hit the theaters. He would rather want audience to look at the way his Love Story 2050 has turned out to be and though he knows that nothing to a scale like this has ever been attempted before in India, it would be fool hardly to expect it coming close to what Hollywood has accomplished in the decades gone by.
“There is no point stating that this is going to be the film which would give Hollywood run for it’s money”, says Harman who has been literally slogging 24X7 to keep the momentum on for the promotion of his film, “Seriously, it is impossible to match the kind of standards that our counterparts from the West have set. It all boils down to the budget at the end of the day and with the kind of resources we work with, even though we may hire the best team out there, you can’t expect results on the same lines.”
But isn’t the budget of Love Story 2050 set around Rs. 50 crores? Isn’t it good enough to set a solid enough platform for his futuristic/sci-fi film?
Agrees Harman, “It is indeed good budget but then we are talking about a film which is primarily a special effects film. Every shot out there requires to be painstakingly shot and then mastered in the editing room. It is an extensive process and requires lot of time, hard work and money. Yes, we have spent a great amount of money into the project.”
“In fact during the making of the film in the last couple of years,” adds Harman, “the talks used to be centered on budget, budget and more budget. We would get over one obstacle, move on to the next and happily come out unscathed yet again. But still, it was a constant battle.”
Reasons Harman, “There is no point trying to set Hollywood as a benchmark though. Look at Tom Cruise. Just his remuneration costs around 10 million dollars and we are not even talking about the overall production cost of the film. Now compare it for yourself with the budget that we have on our hands for making a film. Yes, we have created the best that Bollywood has ever seen in a special effects film but we surely have some way to go before we can tell the world that we have arrived.”
The honesty in Harman reveals the facts behind the fiction but the audience will surely wait to witness the fiction with best ever effects in Bollywood and that’s packaged with a sugary coat of love between off-screen pair Priyanka and Harman. Will that be enough for the movie to flaunt a hit at the box office or should the reality exposed by Harman will cease people from watching the flick? Well, time can only reveal all. Filhaal, waiting!
Shah Rukh also stars in ‘Billo Barber’, but not opposite Lara.
Director Priyadarshan admits he had written the female lead of his forthcoming ‘Billo Barber’ with favourite actress Tabu in mind but had to settle for Lara Dutta instead due to date problems.Priyadarshan and Tabu have done great work together in films like ‘Viraasat’ and ‘Kala Pani’. The versatile actress even agreed to do an inconsequential role in ‘Hera Pheri’ only for Priyadarshan’s sake.
‘Billo Barber’ is being produced by superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Priyadarshan wanted Tabu to star in it. But after she opted out, Lara bagged the role.
Said Priyadarshan: ‘It’s a role of a full-on firebrand village girl. And it’s patterned on Tabu’s role in my ‘Viraasat’. I’ve to admit I think of Tabu for every female lead. But Lara is sensitive and strong enough to carry this role off with elan.’
He said that Lara plays the wife of a barber, portrayed by Irrfan Khan.
‘Though the character belongs to a higher caste, she defies social norms and the diktats of the village to marry a barber. Lara’s sophisticated image hasn’t come in the way of her performance at all. She’ll shock you, ‘ said Priyadarshan.
Shah Rukh also stars in ‘Billo Barber’, but not opposite Lara.
Said a source close to the project: ‘There was a certain amount of reservation about the part when Lara heard it was opposite Irrfan. Lara is extremely conscious of her co-stars’ status. Earlier she had refused Anil Kapoor’s ‘Short Cut’ with Arshad Warsi.
‘But the temptation of being in the same film with Shah Rukh prevailed. She had never been in any film with him and he’s producing ‘Billo Barbar’. She sees this as stepping stone to a film with Shah Rukh.’
Earlier Lara had done a walk-on part in ‘Fanaa’ and admitted she had done it to work with Aamir Khan and to gain an entry into Yash Raj Films. And very soon she got a full-fledged role in ‘Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom’ with the illustrious banner.
Vivek Oberoi :I just want to be better and better every single day – that’s a little prayer I say to myself
Life teaches us lessons. Hard lessons. And no one in Bollywood knows that more than Vivek Oberoi today. In his relatively short career of six years, Vivek has managed to see the highs of highs and the lowest lows. Has it changed the man? Definitely yes. Will it help the actor? It sure looks like it. But now with his career seeing a massive upswing, we ask the actor about his life in the present, past and future…Let’s start with the IIFAs…your performance on the awards night on Mission Istaanbul received a huge response especially from the women….
(laughs) I am myself confused about it… I’m still trying to figure that one out! But all I can say is that I was very happy. When you hear those screams and claps and all that appreciation… then all the effort you have put into that performance seems all worth it at the end of the day when you hear that kind of response from your fans and the audience.Speaking about Mission Istaanbul you’ve worked very hard physically for this role. Was it difficult?
I have worked very hard for it and I am hopeful that it shows on the screen. Physically I had to look bigger because the character I am playing Rizwan Khan… the thing about him is that he can easily knock of 4-5 people without any problem. There is this one scene that I have with Zayed Khan where he is running down the streets of Istanbul being chased by many people ready to shoot him… and then all of a sudden a hand comes and pulls him into a corner and then they show that the person is Rizwan Khan. And then when those 6 people chasing Zayed reach him he steps out and in 30 odd seconds he disarms them and breaks their bones… I remember when Apoorva had narrated the story to me he had told me that I want you to fight in a special way where you lock peoples’ limbs and break them and you don’t use weapons… woh khud he eek weapon hai Rizwan Khan.. so yea it was fun to do something that I have never done before.
I think the best way to describe him is that when we as kids saw films we saw those heroes on screen who were larger than life and we would get very excited.
So do you like playing characters that are larger than life or would you rather play roles that closely resemble everyday life?
I feel you want to have both ends of the spectrum. I don’t know about other actors… I am very greedy. I want everything. When I read a script I try and identify with each and every character in that film. Sometimes I turn around and say ‘I wish I was a girl so I could play that character.’ Sometimes its fun to play a realist … something that I did in Saathiya which was a very real love story. And now after a long time I have got yet another role which is also a very nice love story. And then there is also a film I am doing for Tips which will be shot in South Africa is larger than life character caught in larger than life problem in a very real looking world. So I think it’s a balance between the two… because you have a lot of fun in doing both kind of roles.
While you have done different genres wasn’t it difficult turning away scripts to avoid being typecast? How do you convince yourself to wait for the right role and not get carried away in numbers?
I think a couple of years when I was insecure and I thought it was a numbers game… you have to have a strategy… you need an agenda, a game plan… my thinking was very coloured and I would use different approaches to my career. But right now I am just thankful for all that is coming my way. Ab joh muhe sachche dil se achcha lagta hai… it’s not about the money, the fame, the script, the banner… just genuinely if I feel like I want to be that character then I say yes. You know your inner voice… your inner talent speaks to you… communicates with you. Because at the end of the day its not your talent… you know jisse hum saraswati kehte hai…yeh vidya hai. And I really believe that it’s something God has given me that resides in me. And as long as you keep it honest and clean like a temple it will communicate with you. And it will leave you if you don’t…so I believe you have to be honest to that talent, to your soul. Woh agar kehti hai ki picture karnee chahiye toh karnee chahiye…and then in the end whether it works or not it shouldn’t matter. You definitely seem to be in a much calmer and peaceful place today than you were a couple of years back. What’s brought that change?
(laughs) I think I’ve grown a lot…I think failure has been a very good friend. It has taught me all that I needed to learn and it’s strange you know… that when people fail or when someone goes through a rough period… it hurts a lot and they often get weak. But I think what’s also great about it is that in this weakness when you keep pushing this person time and time again… you feel like you have reached absolute rock bottom and you think that this is it and that your spirit can’t take any more. It will break … but what’s beautiful about it is that the human spirit is just so resilient. The more you get pushed, the more you realize that ‘I’m strong man.. I can deal with this.. I can bounce back from here also that I means I have more strength in me’ so it’s a great confidence building measure if you look at it the other way round. It’s fantastic because you realize you are a lot deeper than you thought. There’s a lot more to me below the surface…
Apoorva once told me that ‘Vivek is one of the most misunderstood people in this industry’. Do you agree with that?
I think it’s true partly… and partly its not. I think its partly true is because yes there are quite a few things that I have done for which I am given credit like I said this or I did that or I told someone this or I took a panga with this one which is not true. Maine aisa kuch nahee kiya par agar mujh par bill phatne hai toh phatne hai…and people believe it. But I would like to say is that people also believe it is also because there are lots of things that I have done. Maine he eek neev rakhi hai…I have only laid the foundation for that and people have started using that foundation and begun crediting me with a lot more rubbish than I have, you know, ever done. But its ok because in the past two years… from the time I began shooting for Shootout and Omkara…I found a lot of change in myself. So you could go to the highest roof top and scream that you have changed but unless people experience or witness that change in you themselves it doesn’t work. And that’s why I am so calm…like you mentioned…I know I have changed and now whoever works with me today they say the same thing to me. Like Apu (Apoorva Lakhia) says you have been a dream to work with… and we keep joking that now after two years of working with him I say let me go else we will be addicted to each other! And it’s a good feeling to see people appreciate that change because the other day Karan Johar turned around and said I really like your new approach and I like the way you are looking and I want to cast you in this role. And after reading the script my first question was Karan, why me?! I mean this role is really too good and you know it’s that turn around that comes along…
So when Apu said that I was misunderstood honestly speaking I had done some amount of stuff that deserved that kind of behaviour towards me. And now that I have changed my habits aur apni galteeon ko bhi sudhar liya hai…then the people’s behaviour towards me is also changing. So I think it’s got a lot to do with you…
Talking about Karan Johar… working with Dharma Productions is a big deal in the film industry. It’s almost like a stamp of having arrived. What’s your take on it?
I think it’s fantastic! And apart from being prestigious I’m also really excited because of the role as an actor. It offers me so much in terms of performance…it’s got lovely actors with me like Saif and Kareena in the script. So its great feeling. And apart from that Karan is just a great guy. It’s just wonderful to have someone like him backing you and believing in you. And it’s really nice to have some like that supporting you. He has been lending support to me every step of the way in small small things and that really feels great. He is already talking to me about other scripts and other things that I already feel like a part of Dharma.. and aside from that another great producer who is backing me right now is Tips. They’ve just had some whopping success with Race and today they are investing me. I am doing this really larger than life action movie in South Africa starting July and I am really excited working with them.
So I think its just a matter of time… you know those people who were considered opposition camps or considered who would never work with are now working with me. So I think it’s largely about how you deal with people and the situation… if you come across as a professional… like for the past 3 years and 3 months I have never been late for a single shoot or appearance. I just don’t believe it in anymore. It’s like a game I play with myself - can I be on time today? And its amazing… it feels really good.
Ok now I want to know about home… you are known to be extremely close to your parents. But what’s the atmosphere at home. Do you go home and discuss work because dad comes from the industry too or do you completely switch off?
At home we barely have any work discussion…because once I’m home I’m home…it’s my de-stress factor. I come home and catch up with my family.. like the day I know I’m going to get done early and I will be able to have a meal at home with my family I will immediately call them. So they will all wait for me and we will all have dinner together… even my dogs join us around the dinner table. Everybody will have a full conversation… like even if I am sitting there and my family is there and my dogs are not there, the two of them will bring the house down barking because they feel they are a part of the family and they should be a part of our discussion. In fact it’s so funny that even when we have puja at home my two babies - my boxers Duke and Ivy - will be a part of it whether the puja is for 2 or 4 hours. No matter how long the chanting goes on for they will sit there very quietly… they’ll watch the entire proceedings. We have this joke that pichle janam mein pandit honge…Finally now that your career seems to be back on track, what are Vivek’s expectations for his professional and personal life? What are your aims now?
You know there was a point in time when I thought fans were just a number… just a static. I always thought that fans were only important to an extent that the number of fans you have is only important from a perspective that how popular you are, how much you charge for a film… that this is the direct co-relation. But today … in my second coming after Shootout… I have realised how important and how amazing this relationship between a movie star and his fan is. How that little word of encouragement and appreciation inspires you to do so much more. So today when I work I think about them. I thank them and my whole agenda is to do so much work.. so much better work with every film that I live up to their expectations or deliver a little more than their expectations. Whether I manage to do that or not is in God’s hands… but that is definitely the effort and the intention professionally now.
And as far as personally is concerned I just want to live every day. I just want to be better and better every single day - that’s a little prayer I say to myself. And I want to be a better son. I think last few years have been very tumultuous and painful and I think I put parents through a lot of pain and misery. You know when a child suffers his or her parents suffer 10 times more indirectly…so I want them to be happy. I want my father to be happy and enjoying life like he is right now. I want my mum to be happy like she is right now… God bless them…and I want to be a better human being. I want to give back a lot. I consider myself really lucky and blessed and I feel I need to share that… that experience!

Sana Saeed, famous as the little Anjali in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, has bagged her first lead role in Lo Pooja Ho Gaye Iss Ghar Ki in which she will be playing an aspiring singer.”I am playing the role of an aspiring singer who runs away from her family to become a singer. I like and enjoy singing now. My mother had once asked me whether I want to learn singing. I said no to her then but now I feel that I should try my luck in singing too.
Maybe I will start my training soon,” says the actress and adds, “I have not tried singing in the show yet but I did dubbing for it. Big B is making every effort to revive his production company AB Corp
So, we have it that Amitabh Bachchan has gifted his friend and colleague a Rs. 50 lakh watch - the platinum Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar. But, what is not known is the reason behind this generous gift….
However, filmi pundits have an answer to everything. They say that Big B is making every effort to revive his production company AB Corp and obviously he will need actors to star in the films by his production house.
He just can’t possibly feature himself, his son and daughter-in-law in every flick. Sanjay Dutt is not only a good Bachchan friend but also a very box-office friendly actor. So, this defines and justifies the lavish gift with an understanding that Bachchans too will star in Sanju Baba’s production.

So much talked about counter tour to Big B’s ‘Unforgettable Tour’, the Temptation Reloaded team of SRK including Kareena, Saif and Arjun and other stars was seen arriving at Amsterdam airport. Shilpa and Asihwarya will groove it together to some hit numbers of Bollywood and entertain the audience of UK, USA and Europe to the fullest.
It couldn’t get hotter. Considering the popularity Shilpa Shetty has in UK, the Bachchans have roped in the leggy beauty at the last hour for their tour, The Unforgettable. And what better way than to let Shetty shake it with none other than the Bachchan Bahu, Aishwarya, herself. So, we have it that Wizcraft International has signed Shilpa at the eleventh hour for the tour and now, Shilpa and Asihwarya will groove it together to some hit numbers of Bollywood and entertain the audience of UK, USA and Europe to the fullest.
Shilpa, Akshay and Madhuri will perform only at selected places, while Preity and the Bachchan family will be the constant members. The rehearsal of the dances has already been started as the tour will kick start on July 18.
Katrina in “Namaste London”, is pretty sure that the lovely actress would prove lucky for him. “Katrina
Mumbai, (IANS) Actor Upen Patel is quite upbeat about teaming up with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in Rajkumar Santoshi’s next film “Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani”, even though he doesn’t play the lead role.So what is he doing in a movie that has Ranbir playing the hero?”It is the love story of Ranbir and Katrina, no two ways about it,” admits Upen. “But I don’t have a flimsy part at all … No way. I’ve 40 days of work in the film. I come into the plot like Salman (Khan) in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’,” he said.
“But my main reason for doing the film was of course Raj Santoshi. When he offered me a role I felt ten-feet tall. When I heard the script, I fell in love with my character. No way was I going to miss the chance of being in this film just because another actor had the lead.”
Upen refused to say anything more about the movie because he is under a strict contract not to reveal any details of the plot.
“But the biggest compliment I got was when Rajji said he was making a comedy after 14 years. And if Ranbir is like Aamir (Khan) in ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, I’m like Salman in that film. The faith that he has shown in me is precious. I’m working hard to live up to his faith,” the actor said.
Upen, who worked with Katrina in “Namaste London”, is pretty sure that the lovely actress would prove lucky for him. “Katrina and I were in ‘Namaste London’ together. And look where that film took her,” he remarked.
“We’re both Londoners, remember? We were both raw and new when we did ‘Namaste London’. Look how lucky she is for her movies. Hope she proves lucky for me as well,” said Upen.
Karisma was born in a family where the Sun and the Moon wish ‘Hello Bollywood’, instead of ‘Good Morning’
Ironical as it may sound, but she is a ‘Police Officer’ who is also a ‘Prem Qaidi’, who, with her ‘Khuddaar’ ‘Andaz’ fought with all the ‘Muqabla’ because she had done ‘Nishchay’ that she will ‘Deedar’ her ‘Raja Babu’ with all her ‘Prem Shakti’.We know that the aforementioned ‘kahaani’ is a total give away about whom we are talking about. We are indeed talking about the one and only Karisma Kapoor aka Lolo. And people… put your hands together and rejoice as this talented actress celebrates her Birthday today!
Karisma was born in a family where the Sun and the Moon wish ‘Hello Bollywood’, instead of ‘Good Morning’. In other words, she was born in a family of talented actors, with Babita as her mother, Randhir Kapoor as her Father, the Originally Showman Raj Kapoor as her Grandfather and Kareena Kapoor as her sister…the list is practically endless!
Even though she was the sole contender for the Numero Uno position of her times, Karisma shocked the world by bidding adieu to Bollywood to settle as a dutiful wife and mother! Even though there resides huge amount of contemplations in the minds of her fans about her comeback, let there be no contemplation about you wishing this ever-reigning queen of Bollywood a very Happy Birthday, by simply posting your wishes below!
Innocent Shreyas decided to obey his fan by giving an autograph
Much has been talked about Kismat Konnection and its connection with pranky Shahid and his prey on his co-stars. We are little bored of the matter now. But how can we be bored with stars and their whimsical pranks! And this time we are back with some massaledar chat from the spots of Shyam Benagal’s Mahadev Ka Sajjanpur where Mr. veteran is busy canning comic frames of his actors, Shreyas Talpade, Divya Dutta, Ravi Kishan and Amrita Rao.
Though the film happens to be a comic one but the shooting schedules are as usual very blank and mundane without some salty touch of pranks. Thus, Divya Dutta, known to play pranks on her fellow actors, made Shreyas her recent victim.
The story goes like, Divya came out with a naughty plan of calling up Shreyas in his hotel room pretending to be his fan. The actress made good use of her mimicry talent and called up Shreyas in a male’s voice asking him to meet her in the lobby. Divya even threatened Shreyas that if he doesn’t come down, he would come up only to make a scene.
Innocent Shreyas decided to obey his fan by giving an autograph. But when he reached the lobby he couldn’t find anyone. What he got is another call from Divya, in a male’s voice, now requesting him to meet at some other location in the hotel. But again Shreyas found no one at that location. His phone rang again. On the third call the actor got irritated and told Divya that he is seated in the hotel’s coffee shop and better he (she) come there and get the autograph.
While Shreyas was enjoying his coffee, Divya came from behind and called for him again in the same male’s voice. Shreyas turned and was shocked to find Divya in front of his eyes. Shreyas took the prank sportingly and both had a hearty laugh. Latter the unit members came to know about the incident and they started teasing Shreyas asking for his autograph.
As the Shahid-Vidya starrer Kismat Konnection and its much airy scrappy prank stories made an invisibly clear bondage between the stars, here also we can expect something like that. But, Shreyas, you are married. So, better be a Mahadev but never try to be sajjan yaar!
No pain, just weight gain -Vidya Balan
Check out some of the hot Vidya Balan pictures to see what I am talking about :
One reason I always admire about Vidya Balan is because she is very straightforward and does what she believes in. Though she has been criticized for her dress sense and her weight gain, Vidya Balan does not care much, at least about the dress. As far as her figure is concerned, Vidya is voluptuous, thigh heavy and curvy-just what the common man loves. And yes, Vidya Balan is truly gorgeous with a million dollar smile not to mention her superb acting skills. Vidya, if people think you are mama..then you are one hot mama! Come on, Vidya is a mallu and Vidya has to have her curves, to set the record straight!
Dont we just love this mallu babe?
Here is the interview from Mumbai Mirror, where Vidya comes clear about her weight gain and states that really is a non-issue:
• You are constantly being criticised about your weight and dressing sense…
I have become a deaf frog. You know the story of the frog who reached the top simply because he wasn't bothered by people's criticism as he was deaf. He reached the top while the other frogs fell as they were distracted by people's comments when they were competing in a race.
I am amused by the way that television and print media is talking about me. Initially, it used to bother me but how long can I worry? I have really stopped caring.
• Really?
Yeah. If my clothes have become a national issue, then I must mean something. If I didn't matter, they wouldn't be picking on me.
• Is there a possibility that you will change your style of dressing?
No. I am my own person. I am very comfortable in my own skin. I am not here to keep everyone happy. Try to understand me. It could happen that maybe an outfit went wrong, but of late, the kind of criticism I am getting is definitely not constructive.
• But surely, the recent pictures of you shooting the hot music video of Kismat Connection must have harrowed you, especially a media picture which had Shahid Kapur looking at your cleavage and a speech bubble that said, 'I have seen enough of that'…
Look, I am not Hrithik Roshan or Shahid. Moreover, I haven't done a dance like that before. So, I took a few more takes than I would have normally. What's the big deal?
I burst out laughing when I saw Shahid's speech bubble. Is the media so starved to make up news like this? Are we cartoons?
• Pardon me for saying this, but didn't that speech bubble hint that you and Shahid are seeing each other?
Why hint at it? People are openly saying that Shahid and I are seeing each other.
• What is your current relationship status with Shahid? Are you and Shahid seeing each other?
Current status? I am fed up of this. I am not seeing Shahid.
• Tell us something more about Shahid.
Shahid is a friend and I won't deny that. But, there's nothing more to it.
• Does he confide in you about his 'friendship' with Sania Mirza?
No. We don't talk about our personal lives. Trust me, we are hardly in touch after we returned from the Kismat Connection shoot in Toronto. Yet people write whatever they want to. (Sighs) What can I do?
• Okay, do you think that your link-up with Shahid will help Kismat Connection?
If you insist, maybe 0.005 per cent. Nothing more. Pehle din hi pata chal jayega picture kaisi hai. Guru did not run because Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai were going to get married; it was genuinely a good film.
• You didn't say anything about the talk on your extra kilos.
I don't think that people are talking about my weight. It's my clothes that they are talking about.
• Some people say that you are fat.

Remo made one of his female assistants, who was dressed in the same outfit, do the exact steps
For what seems to be the first time, Katrina Kaif was recently seen shying away from sporting a dance costume, which she found too short for her comfort.
While shooting for the title track of Singh is Kinng , which is being choreographed for Remo Fernandez, she had dance steps that required her to bend forward several times. And this made Katrina too conscious.
Sensing that she was uncomfortable in that particular outfit, Remo tried to assure her that the steps would not look vulgar on-screen. Remo said, “Yes, Katrina was apprehensive while doing a particular sequence. I had to cajole her into it because it was a beautiful dance step.”
Finally, Remo made one of his female assistants, who was dressed in the same outfit, do the exact steps. After seeing that, Katrina gave it a try and it turned out so well, that she repeated it several times.
Remo added, “Once Katrina was comfortable, she pulled it off really well.”
Bollywood item gals- Rakhi Sawant was in full mood dancing on the tunes of the music at the Yeh Hai Jalwa success party
One of the most gossiped Bollywood item gals- Rakhi Sawant was in full mood dancing on the tunes of the music at the Yeh Hai Jalwa success party. Unexpectedly, she was joined by two ex hall of fames of the Bollywood on the dance floor and shakes her legs throughout the night in skin tight dress. They were Rozza Catalano, Saif Ali Khan’s former girl friend and Kelly Dorjee, Lara Dutta’s ex boyfriend.
Spot them dancing on the floor in following pics:
Life has become even more beautiful, post AAMIR.
He’s arrived without the backing of a godfather, but is being considered for some prized projects. AAMIR hero Rajeev Khandelwal is here to stay in Bollywood. “Life has become even more beautiful, post AAMIR. The feedback has been great, the response is tremendous. I’ve had people like Pritish Nandy, Apoorva Lakhia, Paresh Rawal, so many bigwigs from within the industry complimenting me.
I’ve dabbled in a different medium before [TV] and I wasn’t sure how people from filmdom would react, but they’ve been so warm and generous in their praises. I’ve realized that eventually kaam bolta hain,” the soft-spoken Rajeev Khandelwal is all smiles.
What next? Has he signed any film, post AAMIR? “Just one - PETER GAYA KAAM SE. The offers haven’t stopped since AAMIR released. In fact, I’m off to Ladakh tomorrow [Wednesday] for a vacation and am taking along 7-8 scripts to read. There’re times when you’re tempted to sign a film when you’re offered big money. But my fundas are clear - first script, then money. I’m in no hurry to grab any and every film that comes my way,” he reveals his game plan.
Rajeev, that’s the right way to go about it, if you’re looking at playing a long innings here!
Kareena Kapoor seems to have lost a lot of weight.Says Amrita
Gaunt with the wind ? That seems to be the magic mantra for all the wannabe Size 0s of Bollywood these days. The latest slim-as-a-reed candidate is the petite Amrita Arora who like her best friend, Kareena Kapoor seems to have lost a lot of weight.Says Amrita, “Yeah, Kareena is my best friend. And like all best friends she’s a positive influence on me. She introduced me to power yoga and that changed me life and my physicality.”
Amrita insists she hasn’t lost weight drastically. “It’s only my face. Like Kareena’s, it’s naturally chubby face. I hate it when she and now I are called anorexic. What a terrible description. We both love our meals yaar.
Trust me, Kareena eats heartily, and so do I. I’m doing nothing out of the way. I still go to the gym only once a day and I’m not starving myself.
It’s just that for the first time in my life I’ve lost weight on my face. So has Kareena.”
As for Size 0, Amrita sighs, “I’m Size 6-8. O seems a distant dream and I don’t even want to get there, please. When people talk about me being anorexic and a Size 0 I feel bad. That’s not the kind of influence I want to be on audiences. ”
Amrita is happy doing an assortment of films including Gol Maal Returns where her best friend Kareena also stars.
“I’m opposite Arshad Warsi and we all live as part of one family in the plot and we all make one another happy. Now how much more positive can the influence get?”

Horn Ok Pleassss’ is a comedy flick starring Nana Patekar, Rimi Sen and Muzammil Ibrahim
Horn Ok Pleassss’ is a comedy flick starring Nana Patekar, Rimi Sen and Muzammil Ibrahim. The film portrays the sotry of a simple- hearted down-to-earth truck tycoon named Govinda (Nana Patekar). He loves his wife (Rimi Sen) dearly. The comedy starts gearing up when he saves the life of a heartbroken suicidal photographer Ajay (Muzammil Ibraim). Ajay tells him that he loves a married woman, and not knowing that the woman is his wife, Govinda advises him to kill the husband. To add to the humour, he chalks out the murder plan himself. The confusion reaches its climax when Ajay’s look-alike, Rocky, appears in the scene. What follows is utter confusion, madness and loads of laughter.
Produced by Abdol Samee Siddique and directed by Rakesh Sarang, the film promises to be a total ‘paisa vasool’. Hope it sets the cash registers ringing for the entire team!
Ranbir’s reported remuneration of Rs.70 million and he shrugs. “That’s between Ranbir and the producers Tips.”
Mumbai, (IANS) Belying rumours of a fallout with Ajay Devgan, director Rajkumar Santoshi says he is all set to make another film with his favourite actor.Santoshi and Ajay collaborated on projects like “Halla Bol”, “Khakee”, “Lajja” and “Legend of Bhagat Singh” and none of them was well received at the box office.
“We haven’t fallen out just because a couple of our films together haven’t clicked. That’s not how we work. We’re just about to zero in on the subject,” Santoshi told IANS.
“It is a contemporary film, not the two period films on emperor Ashok and the Ramayan that we were planning to do together. Those are on hold right now. For now Ajay and I are getting ready for another film, though I’ll definitely make ‘Ramayan’ and ‘Ashok’ with him.”
Before launching the project with Ajay, Santoshi is trying to finish “Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani” with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.
“I’m finally starting ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’. It’s my first love story. Though people seem to think it’s an intense love story, it is not. It has lots of light and humorous moments. I haven’t worked with Ranbir and Katrina before. So, I’m really looking forward to that.”
“Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani” is to be shot in Mumbai, then Goa and finally Italy.
“A lot of elements in Ranbir’s character will remind people of his grandfather Raj Kapoor. I’ve worked with Ranbir’s father in ‘Damini’. When I saw the boy in ‘Saawariya’, I wanted to work with him immediately.
“Katrina and I were supposed to do a film that had Shahid Kapur in it. That didn’t work out. This is a totally different subject.”
Ask the director about Ranbir’s reported remuneration of Rs.70 million and he shrugs. “That’s between Ranbir and the producers Tips.”
“Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani” also stars Upen Patel.
“It’s a pivotal role. Upen expressed a desire to work with me. We met up. When I narrated the subject, he fell in love with it. I’m working with an entirely new team, including music composer Pritam Chakraborty.”
Apoorva isn’t too willing to divulge details of the Bhagnani project
Apoorva Lakhia has zeroed in on the cast for the film that will launch the duo from Ekta’s Kapoor’s reality show Kissko Milega Ticket To Bollywood. “It will have Sanjay Dutt, Tusshar Kapoor and Zayed Khan, besides the two newcomers from the reality show,” informs Apu.
No Abhishek this time? “Not in this one. I need to work with actors I haven’t worked with before. Tusshar couldn’t do my Mission Istaanbul. So I’d want to work with him this time even if this wasn’t his home production. Zayed is someone I’ve watched evolve as an actor during Mission Istaanbul. I’d like to take him forward.”
However, Apoorva shocks by confessing, “Though I’d like to feature him in all my films just this once I’m going let Abhishek go. And with good reason. Because in the second-half of 2009, I’m doing a film with Abhishek as the solo hero for producer Vashu Bhagnani.”
Apparently, it’s good-pal Abhishek who got Lakhia the Vashu Bhagnani project. “That’s right,” concedes Lakhia. “When Vashuji asked Abhishek to do a film for him, Abhishek suggested that I direct it.”
At the moment Apoorva isn’t too willing to divulge details of the Bhagnani project. But according to Bhagnani it will be a “full-on masti film”. The last time Abhishek did a film Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya for me it didn’t work. This time I want to make sure the audiences go home with a smile on their face.”
could identify with the character I played in ‘Dil, Dosti Etc’ and so it was not too hard for me to do that role
This one has gone from being nice to naughty. Nikita Anand, who played a sweet bubbly college student in ‘Dil, Dosti Etc’, has decided to turn a new leaf. She’s donning shades of grey in Partho Ghosh’s next film ‘Ek Second - Jo Zindagi Badal De’ with established actors like Manisha Koirala and Jackie Shroff giving her company.
Of course, the character’s personality doesn’t match Nikita’s and so it’s going to be a challenge for her to do justice to it. “I could identify with the character I played in ‘Dil, Dosti Etc’ and so it was not too hard for me to do that role. But this one is the opposite of the real me,” Nikita reveals.
For a performer, research is everything and Nikita studied the character through books and other films. Now, let’s see if her hard work translates into a good performance and establishes her as a versatile actress too.

Ayesha Takia and Rimi Sen-Bosom Pals!
The cute and gorgeous Ayesha Takia and the dusky and beautiful Rimi Sen seems to be 'bosom pals'. It looks so from this picture, doesnt it? De Taali is a cute movie and both the girls rock in the movie. Ayesha Takia seemed to put on weight in the movie but then we like our Ayesha that way only, pleasant and plump. Ayesha for once looks to be a'breast' of the competition here

"Kiran Rao is always there for everyone around whenever there is a crisis
Aamir Khan Productions’ next release Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na is already generating a lot of curiosity with each passing day. While the promos are rocking big time, we bring you yet another interesting piece of information on the film.
While it’s a known fact that Aamir Khan has been actively involved with this project, even wifey Kiran Rao has played a big part in the making of the film. Every time there is a crisis, Aamir Khan and friends of Kiran Rao, remember only one person and that’s Kiran Rao. When Aamir Khan took over the reins of Taare Zameen Par as director, Kiran Rao was there at each and every moment, helping him out as an assistant.
Even during Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na, it was Kiran who came to Abbas Tyrewala’s rescue, when one of his assistant directors fell sick during shooting. Confirms a source from Aamir Khan Productions, "Kiran Rao is always there for everyone around whenever there is a crisis. She is an angel who steps in to help everyone around. She had stepped forward to help Aamir and his team, on Taare Zameen Par and now extended
her support even for Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na. It so happened that Abbas and gang were shooting in Mumbai when the first assistant director fell seriously sick in middle of shoot. So, Abbas in panic made calls to all his friends to check if someone could step in to help. First assistant director is integral to the shoot and without that person it is quite impossible to shoot. When Kiran Rao heard of this, she called up Abbas and said that she would join him immediately. She is truly an angel who steps in to help everyone around"
It may be recalled that Kiran had even flown to Jaipur to help Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra during the shooting of Dilli 6 when one of his A.D.’s had to rush home. Seems like Kiran indeed believes in the saying ’A friend in need is a friend indeed’.
Very few actresses get a chance to share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in their very first film
Very few actresses get a chance to share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in their very first film. Uvika Chaudhary is one such lucky girl. She debuted as Dolly in last year’s smash hit Om Shanti Om. And despite not being the main lead, she made quite a few heads turn with her vivacious looks and bubbly image. Uvika is now back with her next flick Summer 2007 where she is paired with Sikandar Kher.
Bollywood Hungama brings you a chance to chat with the gorgeous actress as she talks about Summer 2007 and her future projects only on Bollywood Hungama’s Celebrity Chat on Friday, June 20, at 1500 hrs IST.
Arshad had a tough time finding the leading lady for his film coz all the big heroines were apprehensive of being paired with Arshad in the lead role.
Arshad Warsi is all geared up for his first home production which is go on floors in London in July. The film to be directed by Kabeer Kaushik is titled ‘I Believe In Angels…’
Arshad had a tough time finding the leading lady for his film coz all the big heroines were apprehensive of being paired with Arshad in the lead role. Arshad, no doubt, is a very talented actor, but he has not been able to make it big with lead roles. Finally, the chase ended with Dia Mirza who not only suits the role but was also too glad to be a part of it.
Talking about the film, Dia said,
“First of all, I’ve always enjoyed Arshad’s performances and it’s an honor to be in a film to be produced by him. Then when I heard the script I simply fell in love with my role and the script. Every character is so beautifully written, I’m sure Arshad’s first production is going to turn out to be very special.”
Dia plays a very sweet angelic character in the film and says,
“I’ve that image. And I suit it. Though I’m not bound by the sweet image I don’t mind being perceived as ideal for angelic roles at a time when every second girl enjoys playing the wicked one.”
Dia plays a very sweet angelic character in I Believe In Angels
After going through a whole roster of could-be leading ladies from Konkona Sen to Urvashi Sharma (who was almost finalized), Arshad Warsi has finally found a leading lady for his first home production tentatively titled I Believe In Angels …just weeks before the film is scheduled to go on the floors in London in July.
Though Arshad is tight-lipped about his heroine crisis getting the right girl for his first film to be directed by Kabeer Kaushik has not been easy.
Says a source, “All the girls who were Arshad’s pals turned him down. Arshad is in a peculiar place right now. He’s seen as a natural scene-stealer but not leading-man material. The big heroines are wary of being paired with him. Lara Dutta said no to Shortkut, though it was an Anil Kapoor Production, when she head Arshad was one of the leading men.”
Dia gladly said Yes. “First of all, I’ve always enjoyed Arshad’s performances and it’s an honour to be in a film to be produced by him. Then when I heard the script I simply fell in love with my role and the script. Every character is so beautifully written, I’m sure Arshad’s first production is going to turn out to be very special.”

The actor plays a 40-year-old virgin in the movie and says he will pretend he is one.
Mumbai, (IANS) Filmmaker Jagmohan Mundhra’s sex comedy with Govinda is titled “Excuse Me, Please”. The actor plays a 40-year-old virgin in the movie and says he will pretend he is one.”Yes, it is a sex comedy. How do I play a 40-year-old virgin? I’ll just have to fake it, ha ha. I guess that’s what acting is. I’ve never touched alcohol in my life. But I’ve played a drunkard. Till the age of 36, I had never eaten non-vegetarian food,” Govinda told IANS.
Remember the notorious song “Sarkaiy lo khatiya” that Govinda performed with Karisma Kapoor in “Raja Babu” 14 years ago? In “Excuse Me, Please”, he is once again shooting a full-on desi rollicking version of the comedy. The movie went on the floors June 1 in London.
What interests Govinda in the project is his return to a raunchy risqué realm, which many thought he had left behind.
“Why should I leave it behind? I am what I am today because of those films with David Dhawan like ‘Hero No. 1′ and ‘Raja Babu’. I am not ashamed of ‘Sarkaiy lo…’
“At the time when it was filmed, I said sorry because it offended some people. But going by what’s permissible on screen today, I’d say me and Karisma did nothing harmful.”
In Mundhra’s film Govinda plays a commitment-phobic nerd who wants sex but no marriage.
“The subject was earlier explored in Akshaye Khanna’s character in Nikhil Advani’s ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’. All of us want the perks of a relationship with the opposite sex, including sex. But no youngster wants to be tied down with marriage. I sat down with Mundhra and discussed the script. I don’t think the original material would’ve worked in our context.
“We’ve altered the subject to make it a comment on the young NRI generation in England, which gets a liberal chance to mix with the fairer sex of all nationalities.
Ayesha Takia- A-DOR-ABLE Perfomer
The prettiest girl of them is all is the gorgeous Ayesha Takia. Words fail to describe her beauty and and I wouldn’t be surprised if people make Ayesha Takia dolls. Ayesha Takia’s “no kissing, no small dresses” principle may have not gone down well with many producers, but the girl has always put down and stuck to her decision. The result in these times-when actresses strip at the drop of a clap-board(sorry hat), Ayesha Takia has maintained her stand. She says that she wouldn’t like her children to be ashamed of their mother’s work in future.
Ayesha Takia’s credit lies in the fact that she starred in a movie called Dor in whch she was clad from head to toe, with the only exposed part being her beautiful face. The movie was still a success, affirming Ayesha’s belief that good movies always work. She gave a splendid performance and this movie will always go down in Hindi cinema as a movie that was a success without exposure Ayesha Takia lies to leave everything to imagination and get real with her work. Needless to say the voluptuous Ayesha Takia is one of the most fantasized actresses in Bollywood, and yes, we would not like her to have a size zero figure!
The Farting Contest: Kareena Kapoor v/s Vidya Balan
Yuck...a splendid work of (f) art!. Kareena Kapoor and Vidya Balan are arch rivals on the scene and both of them were the best performers of last year 2007 with Kareena being nominated for her performance in Jab We Met while Vidya Balan was nominated for her performance in Bhool Bhulaiya. Ultimately Kareena won the Filmfare award.
But why this ?.well dont the pics suggest that the girls are getting g'ass'y? The rivalry is definitely smoking hot and with Vidya and Kareena's fart friendly pose, it doesnt get 'smoking' hot than this! While Kareena is encouraged by her fart encouraging friends, Vidya Balan is doing a solo-act...Eeks..can someone pass on the air-freshner please?
