Kangana Ranaut-Actress par excellence

Personally

Kangana Ranaut, Bollywood’s latest ‘actress’ hails from a village called Bhambla in Himachal Pradesh. Kangana did most of her schooling in Shimla. Kangana had an ambition to become a doctor but as she grew, her passion to act took over. Kangana participated in several theatre programmes to gain exposure. Kangana’s father is a businessman while mom is a school teacher. Kangana’s elder sister’s name is Rangoli who unfortunately was a victim of an acid attack in 2006. Both the girls have been fighters in life, have seen tough times and Kangana has been an inspiring figure for the entire Ranaut family at such a young age. Kangana Ranaut is a loner. She does not go out of her way to exchange numbers or socialize.

Professionally

Kangana Ranaut’s debut movie was Gangster, which most people think is the best film made by Vishesh films of Mahesh Bhatt. The film was the biggest hit of 2006 and there were many strengths in the movie, one of which was the class act of Kangana. Doing a role of a drunken lady who has lost control of her life, until she blindly trusts someone out of love and then repents was a tough role to play but this gutsy girl did a brilliant act and Kangana Ranaut became a top-bracket actress from her very first film. Kangana who believes in performance oriented films acted in another film in the same year 2006 known as Woh Lamhe, inspired by the life of Parveen Babi, a yesteryear heroine who succumbed to schizophrenia. 2007 made her taste failure with the flop of Shakalaka Boom Boom but Kangana Ranaut still maintained her success rate by giving another superlative performance in 2007’s sleeper hit –Life in a Metro. Kangana is very dedicated about her acting and the way she presents herself. Of late, she has been concentrating hard on her dancing skills and also her dressing style. Kangana Ranaut designs almost all her dresses and her sexy dress in IIFA awards created quite a stir.
