Kareena Kapoor made it clear that she has had no problems with Saif

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have been together for more than a year now. Her love life with Shahid Kapur never really made so much news but with Saif, she's been painting the town red for months now. They have been 'joined at the hip' and their off screen pairing has made more news than their careers.
Bebo has recently opened up more in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine and has talked in detail about family approval, marriage, kids and the challenges of being in love.

She's said, "I want to get married and have children. I would do anything to keep a relationship going. For me, time is a very precious commodity and I'm always there for Saif.
And that says a lot. It's very easy to talk about fidelity, loyalty and swimming the seven seas but considering the lives we lead, I think the most important thing in a relationship is the amount of time you can spend with each other."
She's made it clear that she has had no problems with Saif being married before. In fact she respects Saif's ex wife Amrita a lot!
She adds, "Not really. I respect the fact that Saif was married before and has two lovely children. I have been a fan of Amrita Singh.
I haven't met her ever but I know her through her films. For me, she'll always have a place of importance in his life because she is Saif Ali Khan's first wife and the mother of his children. And, I've told Saif this.
I would want her to have that kind of respect always. This is what my parents have taught me. At the end of the day, it was just a marriage that didn't work out. I have always encouraged Saif to be friends with her because I think that would be great.
I guess they will just need time but that's something that they would need to deal with. I will always respect her. As far as any other relationship of Saif is concerned, I don't think they really mattered."
She sees a future ahead with Saifu too.
She's said, "Of course, we do talk about the future. If I was to imagine what it would be like 30 or 40 years from now, I see Saif and me on a yacht, sailing across the world."
It will be great to see another rare real life pairing lasting so long in the big bad world of Bollywood.

Salman, who was sitting next to Sooraj

It was in the year 1989, when an aspiring Salman Khan was shooting for his debut film, Maine Pyaar Kiya in Ooty. Around that time, Subhash Ghai was casting for his film Saudagar in Mumbai.Ghai called up Sooraj Barjatya in Ooty. The wide-eyed newcomer Salman, who was sitting next to Sooraj, thought Ghai had called asking to cast him in Saudagar. Sooraj didn’t discuss what transpired between Ghai and him, and left Salman wondering.A few days later, Sallu, who couldn’t contain his curiosity, inquired if Ghai had called again and this time blatantly asked if Ghai wanted to cast him.

Sooraj explained to Salman that Ghai had called, but not to ask about him, instead he wanted the title of Saudagar which was with the Barjatyas at that time.Years passed by, and Salman became a big star, so much so that the showman himself had to wait a long time to get Sallu’s date for his film. And Ghai didn’t mind it, till Salman gave him dates for his musical extravaganza Yuvvraaj in which he stars with his girlfriend Katrina Kaif.At hindsight, one wonders what would have happened to Sallu had he signed Saudagar?

Well, whatever happens, happens for good, and whatever doesn’t happen, it’s for the better. Who knows this better than Sallu? Don’t you agree Mr Ghai?

Mallika had fallen out with Mahesh Bhatt

The Bhatts are staying miles apart Mallika Sherawat these days. Never mind, if this is the same lady who got her big break with the Bhatts with the film Murder in 2004.But here’s the reason why the blue-eyed girl of the Bhatts has suddenly fallen out of favour. The reason is the same: Her reported attitude that is lately scaring away filmmakers from her. Three years back, Pooja Bhatt had announced a project titled Cabaret which was supposed to have Mallika Sherawat in the lead, but the film never took off. It was rumoured that Mallika had fallen out with Mahesh Bhatt after having a tiff with Emraan Hashmi. This ugly incident happened during the shooting of the film and rift never got bridged after that.

Now even as Pooja is breathing life into the project, there will be no signs of Mallika in it. The movie is set to go on the floors next year and is now being directed by scriptwriter-turned-filmmaker Shagufta Rafique.
“Mallika is not the same person that she was four years ago. She would have jumped into the project after hearing the script. Now she is only concerned about money and not roles. So, we have decided not to even approach her for the film because we know she will not do it,” says director Shagufta.Cabaret narrates the story of a girl who works as a pole dancer and seduces men with her moves. The girl meets a man who falls head-over-heels in love with her but she does not realise the man’s worth till the end.
She goes on to break this man’s heart.“It is an interesting script and we are currently looking to cast for the film. The film goes on floors next year and so we need to finalise things. It is not a mega budget film but we are looking out for good actors,” she says.

Deepika believes she’s not in the industry to make friends

We’ve heard of actors giving a limb for a role. But an eye? That’s precisely what would have happened if she had tried to look any more Chinese for Chandni Chowk To China.“I don’t know how or why Nikhil Advani though of a South Indian with big round eyes to play Chinese. But he did cast me. I play a half-Chinese and half-Indian.. And to get my eyes to look less big and rounded and more slanted some special makeup artistes were brought in. They suggested tapes to stick around my eyes.”

Deepika then consulted her doctors. “And they cut the idea down in time. My doctors said if I stick those tapes on my eyes for twelve hours a day the shape of my face would change forever and I’d end up looking Chinese for the rest of my life. So instead we got my makeup artiste Mallika Bhatt to do my eye makeup in such a way that my eyes looked slanted.”Deepika plays her second double role in Chandni Chowk… after Om Shanti Om. “Yes my second in a year. Two of out my three roles so far are double roles. It just gives me that much more confidence as an actor to know that directors think I can carry off a completely Indian and a Chinese look.”

So why did she do one-third of a film between two double roles? For love?“You mean did I do Bachna Ae Haseenon for Ranbir? Certainly not! I wasn’t even seeing him when I signed the film. And I’m definitely mature enough to keep my professional and personal life apart…No one can take advantage of me emotionally and professionally. If I wanted to work with Ranbir I’d be doing half a dozen films with him. We keep away from each others’ work space and connect whenever we both have the time.

But we’ve worked in only one film and we’re in the process of signing another. I’ve liked the script. But other details need to be worked out.”Ever since Deepika Padukone did her second film with two other female leads she has had people asking her why she agreed to do it.
“A lot of people feel it was a mistake for me to do a film with two other heroines when I had done a solo-heroine film with Shah Rukh Khan at the start of my career. But I was very clear that I wanted to do it the minute I heard my part. And I’m glad I did it.”From now on however, it’s solo-heroine projects for Deepika.

“I’m looking primarily at solo- heroine films unless I’m as excited about a multi-heroine project as I was about Bachna….”Did she like herself in Bachna? “OSO was a challenge because I had to play someone from the 1970s. Bachna… I had to play today’s character. For me the exciting part is when people say I was good in Bachna… in spite of having so little to do.When established actors tell me that I look good and can act I feel happy.”

Deepika believes she’s not in the industry to make friends. In fact Saif Ali Khan who shot Imtiaz Ali’s film with her in London says she’s professional and aloof.“I’m more happy doing my shots and keeping to myself. Specially when I am shooting so far away from home I’d rather be on my own. Shooting this film was special because Imtiaz Ali is not a director who directs from the monitor.

He actually stands on the sets and gives instruction. He okays a take there and then. I’d be unsure of a shot but he’d okay it immediately. That’s a change. Like in Bachna Ae Haseenon, I play very contemporary character in Imtiaz’s film. It’s avery today character.”Deepika rubbishes rumours of Rishi Kapoor calling her ‘Bahurani’.

“I don’t know where such things come from. I worked with him in London for Imtiaz’a film and we were thorough professionals. He was as warm towards me as he was with the rest of the crew.I don’t have too many scenes with him. But yes we interacted for a longer time in London than we ever did in Mumbai. He’s a very caring person. He made sure everyone had khana on time. When he arrives and leaves the set he greets everyone with equal warmth. We were working 12 hours a day. However my time after after work is mine.”
Deepika now shoots for Imtiaz in Delhi, and then the film is over.“I’m only 22. And I’m very happy with the work that I’m doing, ” is her parting shot.

Celina talks about her illness and her experience at the premiere

It was an experience of a lifetime for Celina Jaitley when she appeared for the premiere of her first international film, Love Has No Language, in Auckland on Nov 5. Though it was raining cats and dogs, though it was freezing cold and though our lady was down with stomach infection, meeting the glittering celebs of Hollywood was the reward worth the pains.

“It was the grandest premiere I ever attended. 800 Asians turned up to meet me besides the 325 formal invitees. We had the crème de la crème of New Zealand attending, including television film and sports personalities,” recalls an awed Celina.

Gorgeous as Celina is, it did not come as a surprise when New Zeland’s rugby star Monty Beetham seems to be quite impressed by our beauty.

Laughs Celina, “I’m no stranger to male attention. Though I met Beetham only briefly, I believe he was quite taken up by what he called the Indian beauty. I was just floored by all the attention I got.”
Celina talks about her illness and her experience at the premiere saying, “I was down with this acute tummy infection. I was doubling up with cramps and pain. I really thought I wouldn’t be able to attend. But at the last minute, I squeezed into my Manish Malhotra gown and dragged myself to the red carpet. The effort was worth it.”

The best part of the entire episode was the fact that her movie was admired by all and even got a standing ovation.“Not only that, people stood in the pouring rain for autographs and pictures. I tried to oblige everyone. The New Zealanders are extremely warm. As I shook hands with them, the freezing cold melted away. Never mind my gown shrank into a mini-skirt, ” adds Celina.
Referring to her co-star Ben Mitchell as scary and horrifying, Celina says, “He scared the hell out of me with bugs and butterflies all the time. Believe it or not, I’m terrified of butterflies. And although the film is called Love Has No Language, I couldn’t understand anything he said because of his Kiwi accent. Maybe because I wasn’t really in love with him.
