“Aishwarya has always been known to be a beautiful woman. She has brought great laurels to our country. Both of us are international winners. She is a beautiful woman who is going to be a mother, and that will increase her beauty manifold,” Sushmita told reporters here.

“Whether you become a mother biologically or through heart, you feel beautiful entering that phase of your life. She will be a very beautiful mother,” she said.

“I am very happy for her, Abhishek and the entire family. God bless the baby,” Sushmita said.

The actress was at an event to announce the collaboration of her pageant “I AM She” with Wadhawan Lifestyle.

She reacted strongly to reports that some producers planned to add a no-pregnancy clause in their film contracts.

“I would show the producer the door if he gets a clause like that,” she said.

“If you do not believe that I am a professional, don’t sign me, and if you believe that I’m a professional, don’t question my professional integrity and tell me about my personal life.

Sushmita Sen wants baby the natural way

Sushmita Sen loves babies so much that she wants to have a baby the natural way, without marrying. After adopting two children, former Miss Universe and actor Sushmita Sen now wants to give birth to a child.

"I will go for biological baby because the clock is ticking for me," Sushmita, 34, told reporters Thursday on the sidelines of a preparatory workshop for the 2010 Miss Universe pageant.

Sushmita’s production company Tantra Entertainment was awarded the India franchise to select participants by the Miss Universe Organisation. The Hyderabad-born actress ducked questions about her marriage.

"I said the clock is ticking... I never said anything about marriage," she snapped when reporters asked whether marriage was on the cards.

"Every girl wants her prince charming. I have stopped thinking about it long back but still I want it," said the actress. Sushmita adopted daughter Renee in 2000 and another girl Alisah in January.

Sushmita Sen has taken up the task of selecting the Miss Universe 2010

Former beauty queen-turned actress Sushmita Sen has taken up the task of selecting the Miss Universe 2010 representative from India through the `I AM She` contest and she has tied up with an FM station for it.

Sushmita said that through the contest they would select the next Miss Universe India, who will represent India at the global Miss Universe competition.

`I AM She` will be the preliminary of the Miss Universe contest,` Sushmita told reporters at the 92.7 BIG FM studio here Wednesday.


Talking about her association with BIF FM, she said: `BIG FM is an important partner of `I AM She`. They have the resources to reach across to people.`

Sushmita feels that the `I AM She` winner would be ensured of a better future.

`I believe that the winners of this contest would not only get glamorous prizes but they will also be awarded with scholarships,` said Sushmita.

Sushmita Sen won the Miss Universe crown in 1994.

`It`s (the Miss Universe title) definitely going to come back again. India has the most beautiful women in the world. The fact is we are beautiful inside-out and the whole world agrees to it,` Sushmita said.

Sushmita has bought the franchise for selecting the Miss Universe India, which was earlier with the Times of India Group.

Dulha Mil Gaya is coming on the big screens Today

Here, people, Viveck Vaswani’s much awaited film is finally making its entry. Starring Sushmita Sen -Fardeen Khan with the touch of SRK, ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ is coming on the big screens Today (Jan 8).

The film’s leading lady is one who is quite excited for its release. Sush seem to be in fact caught with the film’s magic. The actress these days is ga-ga about her forthcoming and looking forward to its premier tonight….

“After a long time, I can truly say that this is my film because I have a very pivotal role in it,” quipped Sushmita, “As it is I do less work, and when I do show up in a film, people are keen to see me doing something substantial. This is the kind of film that when I tell people to come and see, I’m taking full responsibility... because it is my film.”

The beauty said to be truly impressed with the film’s outcome and every character in the film especially its male stars Shah Rukh and Fardeen.

On the other hand, a delightful Fardeen shared, “The entire cast and crew besides Sush and me completely believe in this film, which is why we are so excited to bring it to our audiences.”

It is heard that at the premier tonight the film’s print will be arriving in a wedding-like procession, complete with a wedding horse.

‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ is a directorial debut of Mudassar Aziz. This romantic-comedy is produced by Viveck Vaswani under Insight Production and presented by Morpheus Media Ventures.

Sushmita adopts another girl baby

About ten years ago Sushmita Sen adopted a girl baby who wasn't in the best of health, but was nurtured well by Sush who proved to be a wonderful mother. SHe has now adopted another baby girl called Alicia, who is three months old.

“Last three years of my life were not so nice. But now things have turned around. When the high court issued a new order and allowed me to adopt another girl child, I did it. Just three months ago, when Alicia was born, I had applied for her adoption. I am extremely happy to have her now.

She is in love with her new baby Alicia and she says, “She is extremely beautiful. She has got my mother’s complexion. Renee is like me and Alicia is like her grandmother.”

Another great gesture and another life made beautiful by the beauty queen herself!

Sushmita Sen is surely on her toes busy with something

According to sources, after Veer Salman didn’t want to shoot two period films, while Kapur stated that Sushmita was more qualified to direct the film since she had worked too minutely on the script.

So the actress thought that it would be better to keep the project aside and concentrate on acting as of now, sources added.

Recently, the former Miss Universe launched an initiative ‘I AM She’ that will groom girls for international beauty pageant. The organisation was brought up under Sushmita’s banner Tantra Entertainment along with NGOs. ““I want I AM’s Miss India Universe to be well educated, extremely intelligent and socially aware. That is also the reason that we have joined hands with five NGOs and will make sure that our winner will not just walk ramps but will have a social responsibility too,” stated the beauty at a media meet.

The lovely Sush is finally back in the news

The lovely Sush is finally back in the news and our bee is delighted to see her in reduced portion after the Do Knot Distrub ‘mass’ ghotala.

Sush dear is a woman with a loving heart, the emotional kudi has now decided to give her adopted daughter Renee a company. According to our bee, the lovely kumari of the tinsel town has adopted a three-month-old girl to give Renee a sister to play and care for.

She has named the girl Alisah meaning joy in Greek.

It wasn’t a spot decision though, reminds our bee. She says that Sush was planning this adoption but waiting for the High Court rule to change. Previously a person was not allowed to adopt a girl child for the second time.

Our bee informs that the whole family is ecstatic after finding a new member in their world.

Our bee is impressed by the concern of the kind loving and caring Sush. She believes that the trend of adopting child is regular among Hollywood celebrities with Jolie & Madonna topping the list.

Our bee wonders that with her second adoption, is the lovely ex- Miss Universe wanna beat the Hollywood superstars in love and concern.

Sushmita Sen bruised while shooting

The gorgeous former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen was bruised all over thanks to a dress that she had to wear for the shooting of Dulha Mil Gaya opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
While shooting a song sequence, she had to dress up in a golden brown gown.

Everything was fine except for the fact that gown was made from such a material that it poked her all over her body. Despite that she wore the dress and completed the shooting which lasted almost four days. She didn't even complain for having her entire body bruised with the attire! We can surely call it true dedication Sushmita! Good going!

When Sushmita Sen entered films, she was Miss Universe, the first Indian woman to be crowned so. There were instant comparisons with previous beauty queens like Zeenat Aman, with who she shares her birthday. But while Sushmita did manage to carve a niche for herself in the industry, she has somehow never managed to live up to expectations.

A lot of it probably has to do with her tendency to get more caught up in her personal life than her professional one. Also, Sushmita has probably played it more from the heart and not from the mind. Her approach to her profession has been very emotional and thus her career has been littered with wrong choices.

Sushmita seems to have missed the bus to being one of the top actresses in the industry, something which her rival and colleague, Aishwariya Rai Bachchan has managed so wonderfully. For a while, everything seemed to be going really well with Sushmita and her career, specially after the release of ’Aankhen’ and then ’Main Hoon Na’, where she was paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Her career should have zoomed up, but unfortunately it never managed to peak.

Her last movie, ’Do Knot Disturb’, saw Lara Dutta taking away most of the credit. Next up for release for the actress is ’Dulha Mil Gaya’, which also has Shah Rukh Khan and Fardeen Khan, directed by debutant Muddasar Aziz. Of course, she has had movies like ’Biwi No.1’, ’Sirf Tum’, ’Main Aisa Hi Hoon’, ’Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya’ to her credit. Some of the movies in which she has performed really well, include ’Filhaal’, ’Chingari’ and ’Samay’.

An extremely well read, articulate and intelligent woman, Sushmita comes across as warm and approachable and that has been her USP. A quintessentially contemporary woman, she has had the courage to stand by her convictions and went ahead and adopted a girl child some years ago. She is definitely a woman who lives on her own terms. But where her career in Bollywood is concerned, Sushmita’s career seems to be on the wane. We would like to wish her a very happy birthday and really wish that one sees more of her in the years ahead.

Sushmita have been mostly outside the country shooting for her films

She had no release in 2008 and this year both her movies -- Karma, Confessions and Holi and Do Knot Disturb -- turned out to be duds. But former beauty queen-turned-actress Sushmita Sen claims she is a very busy person.

"I am basically a very busy person. I am just the sort of person who is constantly delving into different things and wetting my palms to see what all interests me and I have been mostly outside the country shooting for my films," Sushmita told IANS.

"I have also been keeping busy with the dubs and promotions of my films. I have also been working around my other companies so that I could have a very fulfilling year," she added.

Her future film projects include Dulha Mil Gaya and No Problem.

An imposter created a fake Sushmita Sen Facebook account

Thanks to numerous social networking sites, Bollywood celebrities are fast losing their identity on the World Wide Web! One of the latest victims of fake social networking site is Sushmita Sen who was literally appalled when she came to know that an impersonator was duping her fans in the name of charity.


According to the latest Bollywood news, an imposter created a fake Sushmita Sen Facebook account and asked her fans for donations. While talking to a news daily, the stunning diva fumed at the audacity of her impersonator and said, “It’s not a game. For this gentleman or lady, whoever he or she might be, charity obviously begins and ends at home. My impersonator has even opened an account where charitable Facebook participants can donate money.”

The actress was simply not amused and admitted the fact that her not being net-savvy should not be taken for a ride as she continued, “I’ve been smiling a little indulgently at all these fake Sushmita Sens on Facebook and Twitter. I thought as long as they were not harming me, let them have fun. But now when someone decides to open a charitable account on my behalf it’s time to seriously get up and do something to stop people.”

By the way, when Sushmita’s friends called her up to enquire about the charity, the damsel was completely unaware of her fake profile, which duped her naïve fans. A shell-shocked Sushmita said, “I was zapped! I was like ... huh! I do love giving to charitable causes. But not in this tacky way. Whoever has the nerve to ask for money and open a website for the purpose trusted in my charitable instincts a bit too much.”

However, Sushmita strongly feels that fake identities are one of the biggest menace on internet should be curbed as, “If you have a name that people can use then these things are bound to happen. So far I didn’t mind my name being used by others. But now let me make it very I am not on Facebook, Twitter or anything. And I’m certainly not into asking for money for charity on the internet. Hey guys, that’s not me!”

Sushmita Sen is set to play a pivotal role in Kamal Haasan film

If the buzz is to be believed, Sushmita Sen is set to play a pivotal role in Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan’s next film Marmayogi .

Even as Sush has put her own home production, a biopic on Rani Laxmibai, on the backburner, she has reportedly been approached by Kamal Haasan for his period drama ‘Marmayogi’, which will star a host of actresses.

The movie was supposed to go on the floors in the last quarter of this year, but kept on getting postponed for reasons better known to Haasan himself. Now, Haasan is learnt to have finalized Sush to play the role of a warrior.

Actress Sushmita Sen, who will celebrate her 33rd birthday in Goa Wednesday, says she isn't looking for romance. Despite having a string of affairs behind her, she also says she doesn't dump men.
"Let's just say I'm single and ready to mingle... does that sound too trite? I'm beyond that stage where I have to party and be with 500 people to feel special. Every moment is special and I need no endorsement for it from the outside. Just being with the people who really matter to me is celebration enough," Sushmita told IANS.

But why does she get tired of all her relationships?
"You mean, do I dump the men? That's not true. Initially, everything is hunky-dory in a relationship. Then there has to be some dori (thread) to hold hunky guy in our relationship. If not, then move on."
Talking about marriage, she said: "Marriage hasn't happened. It will happen when it happens. What guarantee is there that after getting into marriage and after 20 years of togetherness, I won't discover it was the wrong move for me?"
Right now she is in Goa with her birthday entourage, which consisted of 17 very close family members and friends, including, of course, daughter Renee who at the moment occupies centre stage in Sushmita's life.
One of the highest points of Sushmita's life this year and a good way to bring in her birthday was the Fun Fearless Female award, which she got alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Cosmopolitan magazine's first awards in India.
"I like being perceived as fun and fearless because that's the way I am. It was a kind of lifetime achievement before my birthday. A little premature, don't you think?
"But seriously, what made the award so special was that my daughter Renee was there to see her mother get this award. This was the first time she ever attended an awards function where her mother got an award. It felt wonderful to see Renee looking so proud of me."
Sushmita saw Madhur Bhandarkar's "Fashion" and fell for it.
"I'd say some of it is definitely authentic. I've been a part of that world. And I know it's not easy to maintain your equilibrium. What really blew my mind were the performances of Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and the new girl (Mugdha Godse). This is one film I'd have liked to be part of."
Talk veers to Dev Anand, who turned 84 recently.
"I'm inspired by his zest for life. And more than that his dignity. He deserves all the adulation. Extremely charming. I don't know whether I'll live that long. But if I do I want to be as charming as Dev saab. But it's impossible for me to go on that long. I'm on fast-burn all the time. As long as I live my life to the hilt I'm fine."
The actress is currently busy with "Rani Laxmibai" which is being produced by her production house Tantra Productions.
