Dia Mirza, who will be next seen in `Hum Tum Aur Ghost`, is mighty pleased that friend and co-star Arshad Warsi kept his word on casting her in the female lead in his upcoming home production.

"I was content with guest appearances and was convinced that such roles would come my way, if not whole some characters. But when Arshad and Maria offered me the lead role in their upcoming home production `Hum Tum Aur Ghost` I was overwhelmed...I could not believe.. he kept his word," Dia told reporters here.

"When we finished working with `Lage Raho Munnabhai`, Arshad told me even though my role was little, I did a fantastic job and that he would surely love to cast me in his home production. I thought he just said it and will forget it," Dia said.

Arshad told me he thought I have not been given my due and that he loved my work, she said.

The vivacious diva has done guest appearances in films including `Shootout at Lokhandwala`,`Lage Raho Munna Bhai`, `Om Shanti Om`, `Heyy Babyy` (special appearance), `Kurbaan` and `Luck By Chance`.

The film, which also stars Boman Irani and Sandhya Mridul in significant roles, releases on March 26 and is directed by Kabeer Kaushik.

Dia Mirza recently sacked her entire support team

Dia Mirza might hit a jackpot if she manages to bag the cameo in Three Idiots, which Vidya Balan had earlier turned down. She desperately wants to boost her sagging career. If you may be wondering why is she seen in a very few movies nowadays then according to the pretty actress, her hobbies and interests take most of her time which is why she is not signing more movies.She tells us, "I do an average of 4 to 5 films a year. I think it is important to do different films instead of signing a lot of them just for the sake of it."

"Otherwise I am happy doing pottery painting. Apart from painting Dia enjoys horse riding. She has recently joined the Amateur Riding Club (AMC) at Mahalaxmi race course.

"Horse ridding has been a childhood hobby. I didn’t know there are riding classes in Mumbai until Lara joined it. Amateur Riding Club is a huge place. I never knew that such a large space existed in the heart of the city. People come to jog and ride."

Not just horse riding; this beautiful actress enjoys painting and writing poetry as well. "I’ve written around 50 poems and my friends compliment me on it. In fact my mother is after me to have them published.

Maybe someday I will like Anne Franks Diary. I paint; I write poetry and love photography. I am a constant seeker and I keep learning different things to fill the void in my life."

Dia loves to paint graphics and nature. She explains that her moods and thoughts reflect in her painting.

"I love painting and that’s why when I am angry I paint, when I am sad I paint, when I am happy I paint. I paint in various moods and then gift them to people." She concludes

Dia Mirza: "Of course I will wear a black band. It will give out a token signal against polarization in the nation. It is important for the Muslim community to speak up at this time and protest against acts of terror.

Muslims feel obliged to take up token gestures to distance themselves from the bastards behind the 26/11 horror. But why are Indian Muslims perpetually required to prove their patriotism?

With elapsing time and increasing expectation from audience Bipasha had already visualized the releasing day of the flick. The proud Dia, replacing the bong beau, exclaims, “In all my previous films I have portrayed common and very normal girls.

I am quite happy and excited about my present offer of a sexy and hot character with which I can play a completely different role from my previous ones.”

Being the only heroine to show her glitz amongst the six Bollywoody hunks, Dia is already flying high in the sky. She underlines the fact that having no other feminine competitor in the flick she is doubly sure of getting all the whistles and winking gazes at herself only.

The character she is portraying in the film will be known as Deadly Max. “She is such a character who doesn’t regret any of her wrongdoings and never wish to explain them to anyone else.

I have done all my stunt scenes in the film myself only. During the shoot I got the chance of playing with guns for the first time in my life and I really enjoyed it”, Dia explains exuberantly.

It’s very usual that while there is only one flower amongst many thorns, the flower is subjected to attract attention. Dia, in the same way, will surely catch eyeballs.

Himesh Reshammiya item song with sizzling Urmila Matondkar

Singer, Music composer and actor Himesh Reshammiya is all set to shoot an item song with the sizzling Urmila Matondkar for his film Karzzz. The song is titled Tandori Nights and will be shot in Mumbai. Both have recently completed a 40 day outdoor shoot for Karzzz in South Africa and Johannesberg.

Urmila would be playing the character played by Simi Garewal in the original Karz. However, the original Karz did not have an item song for Simi. This is for the first time the duo Urmila and Himesh would be seen on the screen.

The item song has been sung by Himesh himself and for the actress Sunidhi Chauhan has lent her voice. The remake “Karzzzz”, is being produced by Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar and Directed by Satish Kaushik. The film stars the mega star Himesh Reshammiya, Debutante Shweta Kumar, Raj Babbar, Urmila Matondkar, Gulshan Grover, Danny Denzongpa and Rohini Hatangadi.

Urmila’s look in the movie is being designed by Manish Malhotra on the basis of the concept Mr. Bhushan Kumar,MD and Chairman, T Series had in his mind. The look will have pastels with shimmer and satin.

Bad Man Murli turns comedian for the first time!

Murli Sharma who is reputed for donning the bad roles on big screen is to be seen in a comic role for the first time in the movie One, Two, Three. Murli will be seen a man crazily in love with Esha Deol.

“I had an amazing time playing the nice, crazy guy for a change. Esha Deol is absolutely fun to work with. And the director Ashwani Dhir is an old friend. We go back to knowing each other right from our TV days.”

Interestingly the character in the movie also happens to be called Murli. Previously Murli was seen in a role by the same name in Apaharan.

Her dad’s name was Frank Handrich, a German National, and an Interior Designer by profession, and her mom, Deepa, is Bengali-speaking.
