Govinda is grateful to Salman Khan

govinda1

All’s not well between Salman Khan and Govinda. The latter was not part of the ‘Dabangg’ success party where common friends Aamir Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala, Farah Khan, David Dhawan and Subhash Ghai were present.

An insider says, “Things turned sour between them after the IIFA in Sri Lanka. Govinda had gone to Colombo on Salman’s invitation, risking the ban on his film ‘Raavan’ and inviting the wrath of the film’s cast and crew.”

It is learnt that Govinda had been feeling let down by Salman for not giving his daughter Narmada a break in films. Khan has been promoting Sonakshi Sinha and suggesting her name to Nadiadwala and director Shirish Kunder. Govinda’s daughter’s career hasn’t taken off yet. Khan had promised to launch her two years ago.

Govinda is grateful to Sallu for giving him the comeback film ‘Partner’ but now he feels he has paid his dues. So when Khan offered him his next production, Govinda refused the film saying he wasn’t happy with his role.

The snub didn’t go down well with the unforgiving Khan who decided to leave him out of the ‘Dabangg’ guest list.

“I wasn’t invited to the ‘Dabangg’ party,” Govinda confirms. “I am not disappointed. It was a ‘Dabangg’ party after all! Why should I be invited?” When told about the presence of Aamir and Ghai, he says, “They might have been part of the promotions.”

Is he no longer a part of the sequel to ‘Partner’? “David has told me that he’s finalising the script. When that’s ready, I will do it.”

Govinda’s daughter Narmada says, “I am working in a film now and I have no clue about what’s happening to the film I was supposed to do with Salman. I am not upset with Sonakshi. We’ve known each other since childhood and we often meet at parties. The last time I met her was three years ago at Salman’s farmhouse in Panvel. I was never close to Salman but dad was. Rumours of dad and Salman having a rift started during the IIFA when Salman walked the ramp with Sonakshi and not me.”

Director Mohit Suri wants to marry Udita Goswami

udita-goswami1

Director Mohit Suri, who has been dating actress Udita Goswami for some years now, wants to marry her but on one condition - if his latest film on racism in Australia “Crook It’s Good To Be Bad” becomes a success.

“I need money to support the lifestyle Udita is used to. There’s no point in getting married and then thinking of practical matters. So yes, ‘Crook…’ has to be a success. The day it’s declared a hit I’ll propose to her. Then the ball is in her court,” Suri said.
Apparently, Udita has also been praying hard for the film to succeed, but strangely she was absent from the first screening of the film for friends and family Wednesday night.

“The screening was for the cast and crew. Udita will watch the film soon,” Suri said.
Though “Crook…” is about racism against Indian students in Australia, Mohit is wary of the film being branded socio-politically purposeful. Considering the fate of political films like Rahul Dholakia’s “Lamhaa”, one can’t really blame Suri for wanting to get the film away from the political tag.

“Crook…”, starring Emraan Hashmi, Arjan Bajwa and newcomer Neha Sharma, is set to release Oct 8. The film has been produced by Mahesh Bhatt.

‘Bebo’, will be called by the name Daboo in the sequel of Golmaal

Kareena1

Kareena Kapoor , who is often called by her nick name ‘Bebo’, will be called by the name Daboo in the sequel of Golmaal. The lovely actress is excited about her name in Golmaal 3.

Bebo was called Ekta in Golmaal Returns and she was playing the role of a housewife, who was fond of television serials involving gossips. Interestingly, actor Tusshar Kapoor, who is the brother of television queen Ekta Kapoor, played the role of her brother in the film. In third series of Golmaal, Kareena will take up the nick name of her father Randhir Kapoor. Her father’s nick name is Daboo and she insisted to be called up by that name in the film for emotional reasons.

The news was confirmed by Kareena, who was quoted saying that it sounds very funny and yet emotional for her. The actress added that her character’s name is Daboo, who is a total ‘chavanni chaap’. She loves the fun name, which is also perfect for her character. Kareena said that she is very happy to take this name of her father and hopes that her movie works well for her. She is expecting that her papa’s name turns lucky for her but she is not sure whether it will happen.

Bollywood actor Abhay Deol, the youngest of the Deol family, has worked in more than a dozen of films, is yet to get an opportunity to work with his legendary uncle Dharmendra. He is also yet to be seen with his star cousins Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.

The actor has already spent five years in the industry but he is still waiting for a perfect script to work with his family members. Abhay was quoted saying that he is very keen to work with his brothers and uncle but it is very hard to get the right script for bringing them together.

Recently, the actor has started trying his hands in developing scripts and is expecting to write one to accommodate all of them. Abhay informed that he has penned down many synopses and treatments, which are required to be developed into scripts yet. The actor added that he thinks of the script and then fit the actors into them as feels it works out better.

However, Abhay said that he feels very nervous when he is in front of his uncle so acting as someone else, is something very tough for him. But still he is looking for a role, which he has never done before.

Well, we hope he soon develops a perfect script for the Deol family and we can see the super four to perform together onscreen!

Rozza Catalano is back

Rozza Catalano1

If you forgot, let us take your memory back in roll and remind you that once there existed a Rozza Catalano who more is known as Saif Ali Khan’s girl friend than her blink and miss career in Bollywood. She did create some ripples with her sizzling item number in ‘Shourya’.

Now, the sexy babe has landed up with another item number, this time for Sunny Deol’s upcoming production Chamku that stars Bobby Deol and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles and is directed by Kabeer Kaushik.

The song to which Rozza gyrates is in many languages, and it features as many as 250 foreign dancers and 500 Indian models. The heat just goes a degree higher in this a peppy fusion of hip-hop and techno choreographed by Ahmed Khan. Well, there is yet another development in her career too. Rozza has bagged in the lead role of an Anglo Indian in Partho Ghosh’s new film Ek Second Zindagi Badal De.

Well, there seems some progress in Rozza’s professional life it seems, though not in her personal one……

Acting is a lot more challenging than Modelling : Deepika

deepika1

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has said acting is a more satisfactory profession than modelling.

"Acting is a lot more challenging. There are a lot more risks, lot more things at stake, and I also think, when a film does well, then there is a lot more sense of satisfaction," Padukone said on Wednesday.

Padukone also talked about her upcoming film projects.

"I have signed three new films, one is a new director called Rohit Dhawan, he is David Dhawan’s son and his film is called Desi Boys with Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. So, that is one film," said Padukone.

"The one after that is Vishal Bharadwaj’s film and the film after that is a film directed by Homi Adajania. He has made a film called Being Cyrus, and that film is being produced by Illuminati Films, the same films that produced Love Aaj Kal, and that is with Imran Khan," she added.

Padukone is now hoping that 2010 ends on a good note for her with Break Ke Baad and Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se ready for release in the last week of November and first week of December, respectively.

Break Ke Baad is a romantic comedy starring Padukone and Imran Khan in the lead and has been directed by debutante director Danish Aslam.

On the other hand, Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se is a period film opposite Bollywood heartthrob Abhishek Bachchan, which has been directed by Ashutosh Gowariker of the Oscar-nominated Lagaan fame.
