Asin speaks about her experience in SriLanka

The Nadigar Sangham is expected to meet soon to discuss her Colombo shoot. The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) had decided to ban the films of those who participated in IIFA 2010 held recently in Colombo.

Asin is in Colombo, to shoot for Salman Khan’s ’Ready’, directed by Anees Bazmee. She explained that a female lead has no say in deciding on the location of a film. Though she had expressed her concerns to the producer and director, the final decision rests with them. Asin also made it clear that as a professional, she has to honour the commitments she has made to the filmmakers.

Asin says that the Sri Lankan Tamils have supported and encouraged her all through her career. She considers her time in Sri Lanka as an opportunity to reach out to them.
They were very happy to see her and she was able to bring a smile to their faces, Asin claims. She says that sports and art should not be politicised.

Bipasha Basu has join in Twitter

BOMBSHELL Bipasha Basu, who has been telling people she will join Twitter, will be seen on the microblogging site from tomorrow.

She will be sending out her first tweet While stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan have been.

On Twitter for a while, Bipasha, like Aamir Khan before her, is a late entrant."I think I am a late entrant in twitter-verse.

But I am excited to connect with my fans and other people directly. I have realised that Twitter is a good medium for doing so," she said.

"You can also know what other personalities are doing, thinking and talking about. It is a good platform to speak your mind."

"I want to discuss my passion, my work and causes I strongly feel for. I also want to follow many people.

Who I admire," Bipasha added. She said she will follow Bill Gates, Barack Obama and Paulo Coelho, among others.

"Though my Twitter id was blocked six months ago, I was contemplating whether to join or not. My first tweet will be.

On Sunday since my revamped website will also be up I want to go fully digital that day. I will tweet whenever I feel like, maybe daily or a couple of times a day."

Would she want boyfriend John Abraham to join Twitter too? "I would like him to join as there is a fake John Abraham with verification on Twitter," she signed off.

Sonam says about Imran Khan

The joshing and joking between Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor only goes to show that they are the next hot couple of Bollywood. Moreover, the duo has got a thumbs-up from critics as well. In a latest report, Sonam says that when she first saw Imran in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, she found him “hot”. She loved his ripe lips and Maybelline eyelashes. But Imran is quite dismissive about himself. He doesn’t think he’s sexy.
“I think he is (sexy). In fact, Imran is gorgeous,” Sonam is quoted as saying. However, Sonam was quick to add that she likes John Abraham’s butt better. Well, now Imran has something to work on.

Singer Shankar Mahadevan bought New House

After an exuberant performance at an event held in Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kolkata, the duo - Boman Irani and Shankar Mahadevan - brought the house down with their performance in Bengaluru on Friday night. Talking about the same, Boman informed, “This is the third consecutive year where we’re performing for the event.” When asked about the details, he said, “The show began with a song which is a combination of an English track and the title track of Kal Ho Na Ho composed by Shankar. The second one is Give Me Some Sunshine from 3 Idiots. It is a short chat show which will talk about our careers. We will also reveal the turning point in our career.
Shankar will be singing live with his band too.” As part of the show, will the audience get to see Boman’s comic side on stage? Boman laughs, “How can I deprive my audience of comic punches from my films and whatever I can perform extempore?”

John gets ready for next movie with Deepika

After Khakha Khakha, John Abraham is gung-ho about being cast in remakes of southern films. The remake of Khakha Khakha to be directed Nishikant Kamat is very much on John’s list. But there’s another film that has caught his fancy of late.
There are stories doing the rounds that John is keen to a Hindi remake of a Tamil film called Milaga. Our source said, “Milaga has been made by Tamil director Ravi Maria and the plot of the film had impressed John when watched it recently.” Apparently John met Maria and conveyed his keeness to be part of Milaga.
“Since John is eager to play the lead, Maria has cast him in the Hindi version called Mirchi. For the female lead Ravi has Deepika in mind. He feels that Deepika and John will make a fresh pair.”

Amitabh advices Mohanlal to join in Twitter

Amitabh Bachchan seems to going around and inspiring all his friends to join the micro-blogging site Twitter. And with much success.

Just a month after he persuaded the reticent Aamir Khan to join Twitter, Bachchan revealed that he has now successfully persuaded Malayalam star Mohanlal to join Twitter.

“On set of Kandahar and done with the Malayalam lines. Have persuaded Mohan Lal to join Twitter. He has agreed! Yippee success!” Bachchan wrote.

It was Amitabh Bachchan who had a long discussion with Aamir Khan about why he should be joining Twitter over dinner and Aamir has finally joined Twitter (his handle is Aamir_khan). Apart from Mohanlal, Neil Nithin Mukesh will also play a pivotal role in the film which is based on the Kandahar flight hijack. Academy Award winner Resul Pookutty is reportedly working on the sounds of the film.

“Amitabh Bachchan has landed in Ooty and will be wrapping up his shoot within a few days. We heard that he has not accepted any money for the film as he says that working with India’s finest actors like Mohanlal means is priceless,” says a source.

Big B had earlier revealed that even though the film will be made in Malayalam, he will play the role of a North Indian which means that he will be speaking in Hindi. The Big B will shoot for only three days in Ooty.

Kareena has own Website

When Bollywood stars are busy tweeting, actress Kareena Kapoor has launched her official website and promises to update her fans regularly.

"This is my own site, my own space. I like the idea of leaving Post-it notes for my fans. I have created a special fan book where fans can write to me directly," Kareena, 29, said in a statement.

One of the notes on her website www.kareenakapoor.me said: "Club Kareena is my official fan club. Check out Club Kareena on Facebook and Twitter."

Another recent development in Kareena’s professional life has been her association with FIFA 1 GOAL, an International campaign on Education for all. She has become the first Indian actress to be associated with FIFA 1 GOAL.

She has joined the likes of Matt Damon, Jessica Alba, Kevin Spacey, and Hillary Clinton and believes her website would help the campaign to reach people, who don’t know much about Indian cinema.

"1 GOAL campaign will reach a number of people who are not familiar with Indian cinema. This site will be a window to India and Indian cinema," she said.
