Subhash Kapoor's WITH LOVE TO OBAMA project has been launched

Revel films Pvt. Ltd launched its new project ‘WITH LOVE TO OBAMA’ Written and Directed by Subhash Kapoor of Salaam India fame. The film stars Rajat Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Manu Rishi Chadha, Sanjay Mishra, Sumit Nijhavan, introducing Pragati Pandey, Child Artists Avantica, Vivake and Amol Gupte in his next after Kaminey. The film has started shooting in Karjat from 26th Jan onwards for its first schedule.

The story revolves around the recession gifted by America to the entire world, and how it has not only affected the top corporate houses in metro cities but also gangsters in UP (Uttar Pradesh). The mixture of brilliantly talented characters and the sidesplitting story line of the movie will surely turn out to be an extravaganza of entertainment.

The film is written and directed by Subhash Kapoor and Produced by Ashok Pandey of Revel films. The music is by Manish Kumar and Arvind Kannabiran is the Director of Photography. Art Direction by recent National Award winner for FIRAAQ, Gautam Sen, Editor Sandeep Singh Bajeli. Costume Design by Veera Kapoor and Executive Producer is Naren Kumar who has earlier worked of films like Ahista Ahista, Fast Forward, Flat Media Consultants- Arati Salgaonkar, Perception Managers.

Prabhu Deva yet again to direct the film with Salman Khan

After the success of his last film ‘Wanted’ Boney Kapoor is kicked about the idea of remaking one more south Indian film in Hindi along with the dynamic Prabhu Dheva and Salman Khan jodi.

According to sources Boney Kapoor saw a Malayalam film ‘Bodyguard’ in Ernakulam and has been in awe of it. It is also believed that Kapoor had a meeting with Johnny Sagarika, producer of ‘Bodyguard’.

Buzz is that Boney is planning to rope in Prabhu Deva yet again to direct this film with Salman Khan in the title role. When asked, Boney Kapoor confirmed saying, “Yes I went to Ernakulam during my visit to Chennai and saw ‘Bodyguard’ as Prabhu recommended it. It’s a good film but I didn’t go with an intention to buy its rights. Its director Siddhique is quite known and has made a lot of good films. Priyadarshan has remade most his films in Hindi.”

Boney ensures that he will be soon working with Salman and Prabhu Dheva . “I’ll be working with them but if you ask me particularly about ‘Bodyguard’, I am not sure as I am yet to decide about its Hindi remake.”

It can be recalled that Tamil actor Vijay also approached its makers to remake ‘Bodyguard’ in Tamil.

Sanjay Dutt and Abhishek Bachchan in desi remake of Hangover

Akshay Kumar has chosen not to do the desi remake of Hangover. Not because he’s got no dates, but because he no longer does films that endorse drunken and disorderly behaviour. Apparently after doing the foulmouthed Kambakkht Ishq and seeing how audiences received it, Akshay has decided to do only clean comedies.

After his pal, producer Feroz Nadiadwala, purchased the rights of Tod Philips’s 2009 blockbuster, Akshay was reportedly keen on doing the remake. But his date diary was clogged in 2009. And he had to choose between Nadiadwala’s Hera Pheri 4 and Hangover, both to be directed by Anees Bazmi. He opted out of the latter because of his principles.

But Akshay’s loss is Sanjay Dutt and Abhishek Bachchan’s gain. They are happy to do do this raunchy boys’ film. Anees intends to make many changes in the script. And his Hangover is guaranteed to be radically different from the original. Poor Akki, he does not even drink, so he can’t drown the sorrow or missing out on this one.
